Nick pulling down the last of the magnificent shelving that formed the core of my show...
...and formed the core of his show! Two shows for one shelf, bargain.
After wrapping the covers in the leopard print paper and lining them with cream, they went in the press. Covers must be pressed while drying or they will warp. It is important not to hurry this step. The book is put back in the press after binding to sit overnight.

This old structure has a big courtyard in front. This is the side view (best view of the round pressing room. It was either for grapes or olives. Both were grown on the estate, many years ago.

Not as much rice as we needed and not tamped down (you can see the gaps), but we found out you do need to fill to the top. It takes a surprising amount of rice to fill this thing!
Often onigiri have filling in them, usually a pickled plum (it's better than it sounds) or maybe sweet red bean paste (also better than it sounds). Even leftover goyoza filling can be put inside an onigiri. So long as it's not runny, it can be put in there. Just make a little dent with your thumb, add the filling, and top it with more rice.
Heck, you can probably add peanut butter or leftover jellied cranberry sauce. Hmmm... That doesn't sound too bad.
