This layout uses the photos I had in my "present" mini-album. These captured the essence of what we were doing at the beginning of October 2008. It was inspiring to look back and journal about how things have changed since then, to realize how fast time goes and to confirm that life is so very good.
***I really need some advice on how best to photograph layouts...I NEVER seem to be able to read the journaling in the photos! Any tips out there??? Thnx!

I present to you a regular day in life of a fine specimen of the family Elephantidae, the flying elephant (Elephas volans), known colloquially as the plain big-eared sniffer. This animal spends its days grazing on moss on steep cliffs or climbing tree branches in search of tender buds. You can see how perfectly the colour of its skin matches the tree bark, which is a classic example of mimicry. After a productive afternoon feeding session the flying elephant returns to its nest for a much-needed rest.

Converti en centre culturel, le jardin botanique constitue un lien entre le passe et le present, un lieu prestigieux qui accueille de nombreuses manifestations : arts plastiques, photographie, concerts etc.
Au milieu de la grisaille de la ville se trouve un jardin botanique historique converti en 1984 en centre culturel de la Communaute francaise de Belgique (Federation Wallonie-Bruxelles). Aujourd'hui, le Botanique met plus que jamais l'accent sur les concerts et les expositions d'art visuel et d'art contemporain presentant chaque annee une dizaine d'expositions et d'activites liees aux arts visuels.

Ce musée présente les bateaux vikings les mieux conservés du monde. Ils ont été découverts dans trois tertres funéraires près du fjord d'Oslo, où ils avaient été ensevelis plus de 1100 ans pour transporter leurs importants propriétaires dans le royaume des morts.
Le musée des Bateaux vikings expose aussi des tombes, des petits bateaux, des luges, un traîneau, un lit, des textiles et des ustensiles domestiques. (Oslo - Norvége)
