Was good to be back in schools after a bit of a quarantine, this time to see the youngest students in Des Moines begin preschool. These photos were taken at the Mitchell Early Education Center on the city's south side.

Teachers and staff at McKee made chalk drawings and created signs to welcome students on the first day of their preschool adventure!

Noong ika- 24 ng Agosto ay masayang ipinagdiwang ng Pre School Department ang Buwan ng Wika na may tema na FILIPINO: Wika ng Saliksik!. Ang bulwagan ng St. Francis of Assisi Montessori School of Cainta ay napuno ng mga munting mag-aaral na nakabihis ng iba’t ibang kasuotang Filipino.

 

Nagpamalas din sila ng kanilang talento sa pagsayaw ng mga tugtuging Pilipino. Nasiyahan at nabusog ang lahat ng mga mag-aaral pati na rin ang mga magulang at iba pang mga panauhin sa Pistang Pinoy na bahagi pa rin ng palatuntunan.

 

Hindi rin nakalimot ang lahat sa mga palarong pinoy! Ang lahat ay umuwing may ngiti sa kanilang mga labi na kasing tamis ng mga papremyong kendi. Mabuhay ang Wikang Pambansa!

A new sandpit with a shady roof was built at the Tharwa school in 2005. Here's the preschoolers in action, having fun with sand and water, with Narelle (teacher assistant) watching on.

Jen headed into Molly's preschool class today for the Mother's Day celebration. This included a performance where Molly was a duck (which is why she's wearing a duck hat here). A fun time was had by all, as you can see.
