Found looking at microfilms for a paper I can't even write about now (long story, rather not get into it).
I was challenged to a B&W series of images. Some will be created by the camera, some in editing software.
I am serious about my intentions of keeping a sketchbook journal during my upcoming trip and being ready to do so from Day 1 needs preparation!
What I found in Sept 2007- my first attempt - is that after the first week I tried to get into a routine - this time I want to set the parameters now. So here is a template for the opening spread for each day.
I expect to vary it from day to day - the layout of the map probably being the driving factor in the composition!
ca 1975- Prep librarian whose career spanned four decades, Arthur Klimowicz. In recognition of a career that ran from 1947 to 1989, the current Media Center at the West Orange campus bears his name. Art sent 5 sons to the Prep.
When dealing with a cucumber, there are two possible ways to go about it. The first is to use an English cucumber, and remove the plastic. Then you score the flanks of the cucumber with a fork. Normally this is a job that takes two hands -- hold the cuke in one hand, and the fork in the other, and score the cuke lengthwise. I find it usually makes sense to cut English cukes in half first, as that makes them easier to work with.
The second way, if you're using shorter cukes that have waxy skins, is to use a vegetable peeler and peel them, leaving only a little bit of green. Following up with a good forking is usually not a bad idea.
1937- Three Prep fencers pose for the Tower photo behind Presidents Hall. During that era SHU and Prep fencing teams were led by former All American and future Olympic medal-winning fencer Dean Cetrulo.
1974- A Prep Language Department Cultural Festival, held in the Duffy Hall cafeteria, featured musical performances not normally found as part of a Prep student's repertoire. Peeking in at the left are Prep Librarian Art Klimowicz (who probably played the violin that afternoon) and art teacher Ed Havas.

For me, prep is important. I like to buy in bulk (Costco!!!) and I do a day or two of washing and prepping, dividing, so that lunch making is simple.
