Next week I'll make an exhibition of dolls, photos and clothes on the DaisyMarket Showroom. I'm very exciting with this, and the girls look curiously at the chaos that there is at home.
Blogged.

My sister and her BF team up to make us some late night snacks.
My sister picked up a couple talents while away in Japan, one was baking (aw), the second, to make takoyaki. For the endeavour, she bought some takoyaki mix (a Japanese brand she trusted), pickled ginger, seaweed and bonito flakes, takoyaki sauce, kewpie mayo, even sourced octopus (!!... and hot dogs for the ghetto version which I refused to eat - I have standards here, they were no name brand! I'll take my chances with the Chinatown-bought octopus), and used kitchen staples a la older sister. These were the results.
Funny how certain phases in your kids lives can be big steps for us parents too, but on sooooo many other levels.
It is my wee chicks first Highland dancing competition tomorrow & I am so nervous for her. This photo for me sums up pretty much how the two of us are feeling. For her, I guess it is the daunting feeling of being judged on stage, for me it is that my little girl is getting so big & I can only sit on the sidelines & watch.....and of course take photo's :)
I think there will be tears from both of us tomorrow.
cinema paradiso
Venice, August 2010
As opposed to former experiences of the Morion's neighbors the cinema paradiso was not loud, quite the contrary it showed silent movies. We started with a small screen in the back alley. As the people got to know this new attraction and grew in numbers we built larger and larger screens. In the end we used a clothes line stretched across the street were we put two bed sheets.
Our resume: It is easy to create a silent movie cinema in public space as long as you figure out how to unscrew the bulbs of the street lights.

4 Pounds 10 ounce, 18 inches long (she’s not standing yet, so we can’t say “tall”)
Last Thursday Kali went in for a checkup and they found that the baby was in distress and had lost some weight according to the sonogram. They put her in the hospital to watch things and by midnight they decided to go in and take the baby. Nathan said that when they took her out that the cord kind of disintegrated before they could cut it, she was probably not getting the nourishment and oxygen that she should have been getting. The Doctor said that she had never seen that before. The oxygen count of the baby was 70% when it came out so they put it on oxygen. They decided she had Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn, and to send it to KC. They had to send a special team up from there to take her and Nathan (the Dad) back down there. They kept Kali up here one other night and then let my son, Mark take her down there to be with her baby. They’ve named her Kainsley Raelyn McCrary but I don’t know what she will be called. I think that it all means that I’m married to a Great Grand Mother now. Oh well, I can’t help that, I’ll keep her anyway. I’ve not seen the baby yet, I took pictures of pictures to get these pictures, is why they are not too good (of course none of my pictures are great)
