In this picture, the subject is preparing for Maghrib prayer- the Islamic prayer that occurs at the time of sunset. Muslim women are required to cover their hair when they pray or read the Qu'ran. This cover is known as the hijab. The subject here is wrapping a hijab around her head before she heads out and begins her Maghrib prayer where she will pray in the Northwest direction towards Mecca, the holy city in Islam.

Traditional Balinese Hindu funeral. Years after the dead are burried, they are dug up by family members. Their bones are cleaned, properly placed to represent the shape of a fetus, and cremated so that the soul may be reborn into the next life.

The woman was cutting bamboo. Later sticky rice will be filled and cooked in these bamboo pipes. The whole thing is very nutrimental and very compact. It is used as meal for the farmers in the paddy fields. Unfortunately I forgot the name of this dish. If anyone knows, please tell me...

The photo is relevant to the theme as it portrays such a man, who not only works outside of his home but also supports his wife in preparing meal. This is a challenge for the other men of the community as most of them would say cooking at home is responsibility only for wife.
