Trying to solder the header on an Adafruit ADXL335 breakout board poses a small problem. Since the board is only supported at one side getting the header to be perpendicular to the board can be challenging. On past projects I've used rubber bands or my fingers to hold headers in position. For this project, the board is too small for me to comfortably hold so some creativity is needed.

Here is the sewer pipe, about to be placed in the trench. They wrap it in plastic before they put it in the ground. This section is headed for the end of the block, between the stairs and the stop sign. You can see how closely the trench is being filled behind the placement of the pipe, while the back-hoe is still digging not far ahead.

The Chief of the General Staff for Israel’s military has a warning for Hezbollah: “Don’t test our power.” In an interview with Halochem Magazine, published by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Disabled Veterans Organization, Lt. General Benny Gantz said the IDF “is more prepared than in the past to carry out a large-scale, multi-dimensional offensive against Hezbollah.”
"I would not recommend that it try our power,” he warned, “that would hurt it to the point that it would understand with whom it is playing with and with what it is gambling."
Speaking about the Iranian threat, Gantz said a nuclear Iran is “not a question of ability, but rather one of decision,” adding that he thinks ultimately the Iranian leadership “will decide that the price of sticking with its [nuclear] program is more than it is willing to pay."
In regards to the recent developments in Egypt, the Chief of Staff pointed to the peace agreement the two countries share, explaining one should not rush to eulogize that agreement or to give up on it. “It is a strategic asset to both countries,” he concluded.
"I think there will be another offensive campaign in Gaza," Gantz said. "The State of Israel decided to disengage from Gaza and not to stay there, but that does not mean that we don't need to go back to visit – if and when there is a need."

Pray for Lt. General Benny Gantz, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Peres and other Israeli leaders as they face key decisions regarding Iran and other Middle East militant groups who threaten Israel’s security. We encourage you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Our art collective, Pataphysical Studios, is presenting an exhibit on the “Pataphysics of Dada” at the Canessa Gallery in San Francisco, on November 3-12, 2016. It is part of the Dada World Fair, organized by City Lights to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Dada art movement.
We also hosted a few special events along with this exhibit. On November 5th, we presented “Pata Dada Ha Ha!”, an evening of art, theater, music and poetry, with a wondrous array of special guests. So many people came that night that we ended up hosting two half-hour shows, at 6:30 and 7:30pm.
This photo set covers both shows, as well as exhibit hours on Saturday, November 5, 4-8pm -- including “Ubu’s Dreams”, a shadow puppet show performed by Drs. Zboon, Fabio and Mechano.
Our half-hour presentation was hosted by Dr. Zboon, and featured these artists:

Between shows, we greeted our guests with a shot of absinthe -- and introduced as a new collection of patadada paintings, sculptures and mobiles. We also invited them to sit down and interact with the Pataphysical Slot Machine, our poetic oracle.
We’re very grateful to our gracious hosts Dr. Zack and Prof. Peet for inviting us to present our work in this very special space.

The photo was taken at the London O2 Arena. Besides the competition being a qualifying event the 2012 Olympics the event is part of the "London Prepares Series" that's being used to test all the venues, fields of play, scoring and timing systems.
My wife is getting shoots and roots off of a couple of sweet potatoes. She plans on planting them in her garden later this spring.
