Dong women prepare cotton for weaving. The woman in the centre is rolling up the warp on the warp rod, while the other three try to keep the threads separated.
In the background is a drum tower, the tallest and most revered structure in the village. In the past, a giant drum within the structure served to warn the people against invaders. Now, it functions as a meeting place and is where the village gathers for festivals. (Brian K. Smith photo.)

This is the manual stretcher that I built, this type of stretcher is very time consuming and big in size so you must have a big shop for some of your stuff.
