Thanx for Viewin, Favin, and Commentin on my Stream!

This rather interesting effect has resulted in DW245 looking like it's literally about to "take off" or fly away from the ground!

Also note the "Lakeside" blind, which I hope the driver didn't use for the return trip!

One of my poppies here at home

I found this chestnut on a rainy October day. There were lots of people around, collecting chestnuts from the ground, but this one was still resisting on the tree. The local chestnuts are delicious and are used in everyday cooking.

Fishing on the Mediterranean seashore

Surrounded by the signs of busy farmers preparing the ground for another season's planting, an old farming trio sits totally idle as their days of use are over. Long after my father completed 40 plus years of farm work, each spring he would take drives through the countryside to see others doing what he once did. I often noticed a faraway look in his eyes as his agrarian heart traveled back in time to more familiar days.

When bedtime approaches they very carefully supervise and monitor me to ensure that I adhere to their schedule (which also provides them with the option of high quality snuggle time - or not as they choose). It's a pretty mundane type of preparation, nothing fancy like decorating for the holidays, but given how this week is going, that's as fancy as it will get. I was going to post something summery today, but then my glance fell on this image and I couldn't resist. I took this image while I was preparing to make this.

It's summer here in Bengal now.

With the Norwesters giving rain every now and then, it's high time for the Toads to breed. You can see hundreds of baby toads in our locality now.

They hop everywhere...some even enter our house. Some get hunted, some get crushed under our foot or the tyres of vehicles.

But they fight to live. Camouflaging themselves in the rocky surroundings, they learn the art of survival and wait patiently for the monsoons to arrive.
