‘Among the bird world’s most skillful fliers, Cooper’s Hawks are common woodland hawks that tear through cluttered tree canopies in high speed pursuit of other birds. You’re most likely to see one prowling above a forest edge or field using just a few stiff wingbeats followed by a glide. With their smaller lookalike, the Sharp-shinned Hawk, Cooper’s Hawks make for famously tricky identifications. Both species are sometimes unwanted guests at bird feeders, looking for an easy meal (but not one of sunflower seeds).’

The city of Guimarães is historically associated with the foundation of Portuguese nationality and identity. Guimarães (among other villages) precedes and prepares the foundation of Portugal, being known as "The Cradle of the Portuguese Nation". Here took place in 1128 the main political events. We are preparing to leave and the Pantanal, Brazil is definitely a place with many adventures and incredible beauty.
This image was captured when the jaguar was beginning to get up from a much deserved rest. His eyes are amazingly beautiful and strong and it is hard not to be totally captured mby them.

So typical of the ACu rebuilds, both headlights are burned out on CP T-28, the return of the Windsor - Oakwood Yard transfer prepares to enter the Windsor Tunnel in Mexicantown. In the background is the former Michigan Central Depot that is currently undergoing restoration after Ford purchased the wonderful depot. Portions of the depot have already been soda blasted to revive the color of the depot facade.
Looking out our sunroom window I was hoping to catch one of the Bluebirds perched in this tree, which is more and more becoming a familiar sight.
The other day I saw the female bringing back several earthworms to her hungry babies and thought that was simply amazing to see. I never expected to catch her bringing home this feast!
Took about a dozen pics and this was one the best because you can actually see what this is. A cicada!

The Northern Gannets are brave and build their nest on the edge of the cliffs. This gives them easy access to the sea and the food supply for their young . The cliffs are very high and one wrong move and it would be all over. It was thrilling to watch and one of the people who monitor the nests told us the the eggs are a triangular round which means that they will role in a circle thus preventing the eggs from rolling out of the nest . Natures is for ever amazing and so much to learn
