I am told that I should use the proper name for dragonflies.....so i will try but can't promise....looks much more like a Cobra Clubtail to me :)
I've always been lingual, but rarely artistic. If asked as a fifth grader, I would have declared myself left brained. Right handed, too.
Never mind that I shoot lefty, I snowboard goofy, and I attack salads from the left as well. It took me a while to realize these things.
Eyeing the target beyond the shaft of an arrow, I never felt I would hit the target true. I rarely did. It was my camera that made me realize my eye dominance was left. My camera helped me realize a lot of things.
I switched my arms in archery in accordance with my dominance. Steal from the rich, give to the poor.
No one is locked to a hemisphere, whatever their predisposition. The balance is determined by the amount you exercise either.
I had lived as a right hander-left brainer. Yet my left eye, left isolated by the viewfinder, forged a connection with the right side of my brain that I had neglected. Constant exercise subtly began to change my predispositions.
My left hand is getting stronger and more precise. I find I am trying new things with my left hand first.
I am trying a lateral switch.

Church of St Lawrence Bidford on Avon, Warwickshire - The precise date of the founding of the church is unknown, No priest is mentioned here in the 1086 Domesday Survey and if there was a church here then, it was probably a chapelry of Salford.. It appears as such in Henry I's time when Bernard, the first Prior of Kenilworth (1122–30), successfully claimed it for his house and the Canons of Kenilworth presented until the Dissolution . - The first named incumbent is of 1206 followed by a second 75 years later.
After the mid 16c Dissolution of Kenilworth Abbey, certain lands were granted in 1544 to Thomas Broke, merchant, of London. in 1602 Rice Griffin of Brome Court flic.kr/p/2ff6ysh sold the advowson and rectory to Sir John Sedley …...
Standing at the crossing of an ancient trade route, the area has long been inhabited, The remains of a Roman bridge have been found and also an Anglo-Saxon graveyard.
The present church dates largely from 1835 when the old nave was pulled down and a new, wider one built by architect Joseph Lattimore of Stratford. The nave pews were taken out in the 1960s
The c1250 tower and chancel both survive . The tower battlements probably dating from the 1835 rebuilding.
On the south chancel wall is a portrait in stone of Dorothy Skipwith who died 3rd February, 1655, she was the 1st wife of Fulwar Skipworth d1678 of Newbold Hall, who bought the manor in 1654 from Sir John Clarke , and in whose family it descended until 1840- Dorothy was the daughter of Thomas Parker of Bottesham by Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Hobson.
Also on the same wall is a memorial to Woodchurch Clarke d1647 - Sadly there is not picture of these to be had, and the church is usually locked.
There are 8 bells in the tower which are still rung regularly, six dating from 1791 with two added in 1954. The clock dates from 1683 and was rebuilt in 1887. An automatic winding mechanism being installed in 2005.

From the museum label: Having fled Bethlehem, the Holy Family rests beneath a date palm tree. In a beautifully orchestrated dialogue of gesture and glance, Mary and Joseph look on as John the Baptist greets Jesus. The golden light rising over the city and the delicate handling of the small figures of the Holy Family, shown again escaping through the mountains, illustrate this High Renaissance artist's ability to humanize the divine and sanctify the natural.
It amazes me how precise the internal clocks of these plants are. They seem to flower in November no matter what. A neighbour has three similar but not identical plants and they all started flowering at the same time.

Habitat: moderately steep mountain slope, south aspect, mixed Fagus sylvatica and Picea abies wood, under small, young beeches among old Picea abies trees; associated with Yellow bird's-nest (Hypopitys monotropa), Yellow coralroot (Corallorhiza trifida) and Red Helleborine (Cephalanthera rubra), in deep shade, calcareous ground, on places with almost no ground vegetation, partly protected from direct rain by tree canopies, average precipitations ~3.000 mm/year, average temperature 2-4 deg C, elevation approximately 1.250 m (4.000 feet), alpine phytogeographical region.
Substratum: loose hummus soil.
Place: Trenta valley, near Vršič pass road, southwest slopes of Mt. Prisank, 2.547 m (8.357 feet), East Julian Alps, Posočje, Slovenia EC.
Comment: It is always a happy event to see this legendary rare, mysterious and highly endangered wild orchid. This is particularly so, because even if one knows exactly where and when to search for it, it doesn't appear every year. Sometimes, searching can be of no avail for several consecutive years. I've been following its occurrence at these two sites for eight years now. The best blooming occurred in 2008 and much weaker in 2011. Next years there was nothing to see. In 2015 I found 16 plants in bloom and in this year there were about the same number at the first spot and only a single plant on the second spot. However, several have just protruded the ground surface and it seems possible that some more will appear in the next days.
This achlorophyllous (having no chlorophyll), mycoheterotrophic (getting at least some part of its food from parasitism upon fungi) (not saprophytes! as frequently stated, see: Ref.:8), Euro-Asiatic plant, mostly living underground, has disappeared already from many places in Europe. O. Sebald et al. (1998) reports about a place in Baden-Württemberg, DE, which has been occasionally monitoring now for almost 80 years. Sources from 1935 talk about "thousands of blooming plants". The place was extensively studied again in 1996. Population found counted only 18 blooming plants. Drawings of the plants from 1935 show large groups of plants with up to 15 flowers per stem. In 1996 ten of 18 plants found had only a single flower and the highest number of flowers found was three - on a single plant. The main reason for this drastic decline seems to be nitrogenized soil through polluted air. Obviously no local protection means can help against polluted air.
