Vibrational Therapy, also called Vibrational Medicine and Energy Medicine, is based on the scientific principles that all matter vibrates to a precise frequency and that by using resonant vibration, balance of matter can be restored.

POLARITY OF MATTER

Within all life, existing together at the same time, is both matter and space, movement and stillness, sound and silence, light and darkness. The polarity of life, or the ability to travel throughout the range between polar opposites, is the natural state of being. Most of us are often stuck in one of the polar opposites, unable or unwilling for various reasons to freely flow throughout the full range of the circle of life.

At any level of existence, whether it be atomic or cosmic, form that is in a state of balance and health, pulse in and out of stillness and movement easily. It is a dynamic, ever-changing dance. In fact, form in its wisdom and intelligence, is constantly seeking to correct imbalances.

Trauma often results in states of either no movement or constant movement. Contrary to what you might think, the system wisely creates these states in order not to overwhelm itself when trauma occurs. When registered deeply, the system cannot self-correct. When form ceases to freely move, it atrophies, and over time, dies. Or, if form never rests, it will eventually burn out. The “system” includes not only the physical, but the emotional, mental and spiritual parts of us as well.

RESONANCE and VIBRATION

Resonance works on the principle that like attracts like. When the C string of a harp or piano is struck, all the other octave strings of C begin to vibrate. They are in resonance with one another. The different parts of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being resonante to various frequencies of vibration.

Vibrational/Energy Therapy gently invites stuck energy to move or vibrate again... or over-stimulated energy to explore stillness. Over time, the system finds balance between the two by being able to move through the entire range of possibilities fluidly and easily.

This is the experience of not only health and vitality, but expansion, transformation of consciousness, and eventually, transcendence.

LANGUAGES OF VIBRATION and RESONANCE

The languages of vibration and resonance are those which stimulate the five senses. This includes color, light, crystals and gems, sound, aroma, sacred geometry and touch. Common to all is the ability to create the entire spectrum of energy within the circle of life.

Like an orchestra, the system may be deficient of a single note or a whole symphony of harmonics. In fact, just as a variety of foods creates balanced nutrition in the physical aspect of the system, the ability to receive and process over time a variety of colors, sounds and aromas, for example, is also essential nutrition.

Most of us are deficient or bombarded in one or more of the senses. For example, how many of us receive loving non-sexual touch on a regular basis? Or how about the factory worker whose ears never get a moment's quiet? Or a sales clerk at a perfume counter whose nose is constantly stimulated by thousands of scents most of which contain synthetic ingredients. Or an office worker who sits in front of a computer screen all day? I could go on and on... What is the solution?

We all need a moderate variety of sense stimuli on a regular basis. If we consciously engage our senses on a regular basis, we can heal trauma and restore balance in our lives. Therapeutically engaging the sense nature in a conscious and specific way creates deep and lasting changes towards wholeness and health.

Use of a specific complementary regimen from an assortment of vibrational therapies invites the system back into its core resonance, into its true nature. It is an invitation to come home.

Mwila people are an ethnic group living in southern Angola, in the area of Huila. They actually are part of the Nyaneka, a larger ethnic group. According to their oral tradition, they settled down in that area during the 17th century, because of a drought that made them abandon their lands in the country of Quilengues. In fact it seems Mwila are supposed to be a miscegenation of Jaga invaders, coming from east (and who transitorily invaded Congo) and conquered the area, with the aboriginal inhabitants of the area, the Chimbemba (or Bachimba). The conquerors formed the powerful kingdom of Huila during the 17th century, led by a Soba, which ruled the area until the first half of the 19th century. Mwila were part of this chiefdom and most of the traditions of these bantu cattle farmers date back to these times, although it is not clear for them nowadays.

Mumuhuila rarely eat meat, they rather eat porridge, corn, chicken, honey and milk. They kill their cattle only on special occasions. Mwila are not allowed to mention people’s name in public.

But Mumuhuila women are especially famous for their very special hairstyles. Indeed hairstyles are very important and meaningful in Mwila culture. Women coat their hair with a red paste called, oncula, which is made of crushed red stone. They also put a mix of oil, crushed tree bark, dried cow dung and herbs on their hair. Besides they decorate their hair with beads, cauri shells (real or plastic ones) and even dried food. Having their forehead shaved is considered as a sign of beauty. The plaits, which look like dreadlocks, are called nontombi and have a precise meaning. Women or girls usually have four or six nontombi, but when they only have three it means that someone died in their family. Mumuhuila Women are also famous for their mud necklaces, which are important as for each period of their life corresponds a specific type of necklace. When they are young, girls wear heavy red necklaces, made with beads covered with a mix of soil and latex. Later girls start to wear a set of yellow necklaces called, Vikeka, made of wicker covered with earth. They keep it until their wedding, which can last 4 years. Once married they start to wear a set of stacked up bead necklaces, called Vilanda. Women never take their necklace off and have to sleep with it. They also use headrests to protect their hairstyles. However, more and more men and women dress in a western way, because people use to make fun of them when they go to markets.

Living conditions are tough as women sometimes walk for 50 kilometers to reach Huila market to sell goods.

Exercise PRECISE RESPONSE, is an annual chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) exercise hosted by Defence Research and Development Canada at Canadian Forces Base Suffield where the Canadian Armed Forces along with NATO allies and partner Nations can practice essential CBRN defence skills in a multinational training environment.

The target area is only two meters wide. It's a small thermal exhaust port, right above the ticket windows. The shaft leads directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the station. Only a precise hit will set off a chain reaction.

I'm not sure of the precise date, but this is from a blog called Letters Home From Korea, and it contains memories and photographs of Charles Woodruff, a US Army Korean War veteran; this particular image is way down at the bottom of the page, so you have to scroll quite a ways down. This is a postcard he picked up at the time, showing the Capitol Building at the end of Sejong Daero. As you can see, the steps are far too low to have been the site of the previous photo. It's more likely that the photographer was up one floor, or maybe even two. There is in fact at least one figure standing on the third floor balcony, and maybe two.

Note that the entrance to the building is blocked in this shot, by a temporary barrier (and a big yellow sign), so this may date from the middle of the war, after Seoul had been recaptured, but before the legislature was really sitting.

When was the world's first railway laid? No one is quite confident on a precise date but simple rails have been used to guide vehicles for centuries, definitely as far back as the middle ages and possibly even in ancient Greece.

What is certain is that in the early 1600s a Nottinghamshire businessman called Huntingdon Beaumont came to Northumberland and laid rails from collieries near Blyth to a shipping point on the coast.

His waggonway used horses hauling wooden waggons on wooden wheels on wooden rails, however this was not a financial success. It did though provide the spark of progression from primitive wooden rails over short distances, to a railway network which would change Britain and the world forever.

Tyneside Roads

From the mid 1600 onwards waggonways and the Tyneside coal industry became linked so closely that they were known throughout the rest of Britain as 'Tyneside Roads'. A network of lines linked collieries on both sides of the Tyne to the river.

It is no coincidence that the North East was the area where waggonways took greatest hold, because canal building was impossible due to deep valleys and steep hills. What set the rail systems of Tyneside apart from all others was its use of the flanged wheel - a key element of the modern railway as we know it.

A revelation

When the Tanfield Railway - or waggonway as it was known at the time - was built in 1725, it was a revelation. Its massive engineering was unlike anything else in its era, or even since the Roman Empire. It was a triumph of engineering over nature, a clear signal that a new industrial age was upon the world, and that railways would play a massive part.

First laid down more than a quarter of a century before the first railway officially sanctioned by government, over 75 years before the first steam locomotive and a whole 100 years earlier than the Stockton and Darlington Railway, the Tanfield Railway is the world's oldest railway. We will be the first railway to celebrate our tricentenary in 2025.

Sergeant Raven was one of the sharpest, quickest, most precise clones of his batch. He could snipe a bird flying at thirty from four hundred yards. He excelled through his training and eventually put his combat prowess to use in space, flying an ARC-170, occasionally transporting troops in an LAAT. Prior to returning to a ground position, he fought in a space battle where had was only barely able to crash back in the hangar of a Venator before it jumped away, scarring his face forever and ruining his ARC. The scar was a piece of shrapnel imbedded so deep into his skull that any attempt to take it out would kill him, but it staying there would only result in minor aches when exercising incredibly hard or talking with too much strain. The drawback was that too much g-force would eventually result in it going deeper into his skull and killing him. So he was forced to transfer to the ground, where was soon promoted to sergeant.

This Whore's Perch. (2008)

Titles are important to me, I like all the connotations. The whore was the one who plied her trade, here, before me. It has a bed, a bath, and a toilet all in one room, and nothing else (other than a sink). This was to facilitate, ingress, egress and evacuation, I believe, and the maintaining of a clean, and efficient, work area, on an in-and-out basis. I love the pragmatism of all the trade's people here.

I was the whore who arrived next. I still have the property rented to the end of the month, but find myself with an embarrassment of properties, one of which houses a whore, and the other which presently houses two cats, one of whom would be one (a whore, that is) given half the chance. A cat 'on heat' is a wondrous thing, but then so is a person. For the record, that slightly phallic shape in the middle of the foreground is this whore's foot.

The shoe is a gentleman's bespoke lace-up brogue from 'Foster & Son', London. There is an aspect of 'drag' there.

I have learnt a sort of trick, it's a bit of a coverall. When I really embarrass myself with an image or text, and I do, I have discovered that if I flood my stream with a new direction, say here with this group of geographic place-holders (lest I forget), then hopefully I have somewhat buried the 'offending article'. I might add that this idea, or image, does not embarrass me at all. I have loved many 'whores' in my lifetime. I have found them to be honest and good for the most part. I would rather have dinner and a few drinks with any of their number over the company of priests, nuns, bank managers, or market manipulators.

Call me old-fashioned.

The Bugatti Type 57 was one of the most successful and desirable Bugatti of all time. The Type 57 filled the requirements of a broader segment of sporting motorists than any previous Molsheim product. The chassis amounted to an elongated Grand Prix Bugatti with tubular front axle, cable-operated axles, reversed quarter-elliptic rear springs and worm-and-wheel steering. The engine was a beautifully made gear-driven double-overhead-cam in-line eight, representing a conservative summation of all the vast Bugatti experience with Grand Prix, sports and touring cars. A non-synchromesh 4-speed gearbox was very precise, but still required the driver's skills to shift smoothly. An optional Type 57 C with Roots supercharger was available, increasing the power from 135 to 155 horsepower.

In 1937, Bugatti introduced what he claimed to be "the finest road machine ever made". The Type 57 S (Surbaissé) featured a modified shortened chassis which went through the rear axle - hence creating a much lower centre of gravity, a high-performance dry-sump engine featuring 170 horsepower (and over 200 horsepower in the supercharged Type 57 SC version), very complex self-levelling de-Ram shock absorbers, hydraulic brakes and coachwork with a modified V-shaped radiator. Surely the most spectacular coachwork was Jean Bugatti's Atalante design, featuring a unique streamlined Coupé design.

This particular car, the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atalante 1937 chassis n°57511, is one of the finest most original examples of the rare model. Originally owned by French sportsman Robert Eonnet (also owning a Type 51 Grand Prix), 57511 was owned, and used for 2 years in Japan by U.S. Navy Dr. Charles S.Hascall who then sold 57511 to Dr. Peter Williamson in 1974. It was in Dr. Williamson's collection that 57511 lived next to his Type 57 S atlantic, until his death in 2008. Forming part of a European private collection, 57511 has received major attention by Bugatti authority Laurent Rondoni, including an overhail of its complex supercharged engine.

Warangal Fort, in the present-day Indian state of Telangana, appears to have existed since at least the 13th century CE. Although precise dating of its construction and subsequent enhancements are uncertain, historians and archaeologists generally accept that an earlier brick-walled structure was replaced with stone by Ganapatideva, who died in 1262, and that his successors – Rudramadevi and Prataparudra II – added to its height and added gateways, square bastions and additional circular earthern walls prior to the latter's death in 1323. This places the construction towards the end of the Kakatiya period. There were later modifications between the 15th and 17th centuries, comprising principally the addition of barbicans to the four gates in the stone wall and the creation of gates in the outer earthern wall.

Remnants of the structure can be seen today near to the town of Warangal, which was the Kakatiya capital. The Archaeological Survey of India has listed the remains as a Monument of National Importance.

The 12th and the 13th centuries saw the emergence of the Kakatiyas. They were at first the feudatories of the Western Chalukyas of Kalyana, ruling over a small territory near Warangal. A ruler of this dynasty, Prola II, who ruled from A.D.1110 to 1158, extended his sway to the south and declared his independence. His successor Rudra (A.D.1158--1195) pushed the kingdom to the north up to the Godavari delta. He built a fort at Warangal to serve as a second capital and faced the invasions of the Yadavas of Devagiri. The next ruler Mahadeva extended the kingdom to the coastal area. In A.D.1199, Ganapati succeeded him. He was the greatest of the Kakatiyas and the first after the Satavahanas to bring the entire Telugu area under one rule. He put an end to the rule of the Velanati Cholas in A.D.1210. He forced the Telugu Cholas of Vikramasimhapura to accept his suzerainty. He established order in his vast dominion and encouraged trade.

As Ganapati Deva had no sons, his daughter Rudramba succeeded him in A.D.1262 and carried on the administration. Some generals, who did not like to be ruled by her, rebelled. She could, however, suppress the internal rebellions and external invasions with the help of loyal subordinates. The Cholas and the Yadavas suffered such set backs at her hands that they did not think of troubling her for the rest of her rule.

Prataparudra succeeded his grandmother Rudramba in A.D.1295 and ruled till A.D.1323. He pushed the western border of his kingdom up to Raichur. He introduced many administrative reforms. He divided the kingdom into 75 Nayakships, which was later adopted and developed by the Rayas of Vijayanagara. In his time the territory constituting Andhra Pradesh had the first experience of a Muslim invasion. In A.D.1303, the Delhi Sultan Ala-ud-din Khilji sent an army to plunder the kingdom. But Prataparudra defeated them at Upparapalli in Karimnagar district. In A.D. 1310, when another army under Malik Kafur invaded Warangal, Prataparudra yielded and agreed to pay a large tribute. In A.D.1318, when Ala-ud-din Khilji died, Prataparudra withheld the tribute. It provoked another invasion of the Muslims. In A.D.1321, Ghiaz-ud-din Tughlaq sent a large army under Ulugh Khan to conquer the Telugu country then called Tilling. He laid siege to Warangal, but owing to internal dissensions he called off the siege and returned to Delhi. Within a short period, he came back with a much bigger army. In spite of unpreparedness, Prataparudra fought bravely. For want of supplies, he surrendered to the enemy who sent him to Delhi as a prisoner, and he died on the way. Thus ended the Kakatiya rule, opening the gates of the Telugu land to anarchy and confusion yielding place to an alien ruler.

The Kakatiya period was rightly called the brightest period of the Telugu history. The entire Telugu speaking area was under the kings who spoke Telugu and encouraged Telugu. They established order throughout the strife torn land and the forts built by them played a dominant role in the defence of the realm. Anumakonda and Gandikota among the `giridurgas', Kandur and Narayanavanam among the `vanadurgas', Divi and Kolanu among the `jaladurgas', and Warangal and Dharanikota among the `sthaladurgas' were reckoned as the most famous strongholds in the Kakatiya period. The administration of the kingdom was organized with accent on the military.

Though Saivism continued to be the religion of the masses, intellectuals favoured revival of Vedic rituals. They sought to reconcile the Vaishnavites and the Saivites through the worship of Harihara. Arts and literature found patrons in the Kakatiyas and their feudatories.

Black-backed Kingfisher bathing

This is one of the smallest and fastest king around capable of speed up to 6-8 meters per second. It's a huge challenge trying to catch it in action. This guy loves to bathe. He is thrilled with delight every time after he dip into the pool. It plunges into the pool with such high speed that it literally vaporise the water in front of it. The perfectly designed water-proofing plumage prevent it from drowning, it helps to keep the bird stays afloat every time after every dive and never fails. Another interesting thing i noticed was that despite the high intensity dive actions, the pool remained perfectly clear and the sediments was not disturbed at all. From observations he bathe even on rainy weather I'm unsure if this behaviour is confined to this species or otherwise

This yellow bellied version bathe from 1800 - 1815. The pale bellied bath from 1845 - 1900 both emit sharp calls before flying off signalling the end of the bath. Another question is why these birds do not dip themselves in the reservoir but instead choose to bathe in the tiny pools along the forest streams at the edge of the reservoir. One reason it might be the preferred shallow fast flowing cool water.

One complete sequence from ingress to egress from the water surface takes about 2 seconds. In human terms, it's a very compressed timeframe. For the kingfisher, it's a leisurely pace.

All sequence are remotely taken thus totally eliminating any possible stress to the bird

Cleveland has something really neat: a lake. Lake Erie to be precise, "the fourth-largest lake (by surface area) of the five Great Lakes in North America, and the eleventh-largest globally if measured in terms of surface area" (Wikipedia). It's gorgeous, and its shoreline hosts a beautiful park, Edgewater park. The park includes a pier, used by wandering souls, tourists, and people who like to fish.

This pier has been battered by the world around it, by weather, has been repaired, remodeled many times, and in turn features great textures.

I took my trusty camera, and captured sixteen of these great textures. I gently edited them, color-corrected them, and here we are. The set includes the original textures, negative versions, transparent versions, Bitmap TIFF versions, and vector versions.

These can be used for backgrounds, distressing, to give depth. Use the negative versions as aging artifacts on photos, by changing their blending mode to screen, and lowering the opacity to 25-50%. Have fun!

builds its frames with slow, precise movements that do little to encourage visitors to engage in idle chatter.

In the second room, which is as small as the first but still completely tidy, his son Jacques assembles a bicycle or repairs one belonging to a loyal customer. His wife ties or tightens the spokes on a wheel. Around them, there are never more than two or three people who are not ‘part of the service’. The conversations are those of connoisseurs. They know about gears. They have tried out the equipment. No, always in the utmost calm, they simply exchange a few bits of gossip about the latest races, those they have just competed in or watched on television.

Henri Depierre joined a bicycle manufacturer in Le Tréport at the age of fifteen. Even then, he was interested in racing frames and made a few at home, thanks to the advice of a specialist craftsman who had worked for a reputable frame manufacturer.

From 1940 to 1946, he competed in races as an amateur and moved to Paris, supplying custom-made frames to several frame manufacturers.

Then came the crisis of the 1950s for the bicycle industry, caused by the success of mopeds and the development of the automobile. After spending a few months at Arliguie, where he set up a workshop, Henri Depierre changed careers and began manufacturing... floor lamps.

In 1967, when his son finished his military service, he decided to set up his own business as an independent craftsman and builder. The seriousness of his design and construction methods and the new boom in cycling ensured the success of his company.

The frame design

Henri Depierre believes that the best way to make beautiful frames is to love your craft and to perfect your skills. It's a recipe that works as well as any other. But you still need to study the optimal dimensions and find a style. That's what he did, ‘like Chapman did for Lotus’, as one of his friends likes to say.

What is the ‘Gemini’ style?

It is based on two simple ideas:

- the angle of the seat tube depends primarily on the length of the femur, and does not simply vary according to the height of the frame;

- the design of the steering system has a decisive influence on the bike's handling on long descents.

TABLE LAMP XIV – GLOBE II

The lamp is made of Senegalese gourd.

Like the first Globe lamp it’s a precise model of the Earth. Meridians and circles of latitude are marked every 20 degrees; the contours of the continents are reconstructed accordingly. The land is marked by a deeper layer of white wood which allows some light to pass through it. Meridians and circles of latitude are perforated.

The closing part around circle of latitude 60 is locked by small magnets.

The supporting stem is finished with brown jeweller waxed string. The base is carved from wood and finished with natural oil.

Diameter of the gourd is 24 cm and lamp is 41 cm high.
