While I enjoyed my turkey club from the food truck, these two border collies got in a few practice throws out behind the main field.
during the nuremberg trials, the axis leaders were specifically charged with crimes that the allied powers did not commit. prior to world war two, the official policy of targeting civilians by massive ariel bombardment was perceived as illegal and barbaric. these photos, taken by my grandfather, as he served as an aerial navigator for the allies serves to demonstrate the level of the savagery committed by both sides. the planes were sometimes miles up, and, lacking precision guidance systems were almost entirely unable to predict where their bombs would fall. i am a pacifist. i abhor the murder of any living thing. i posted these photos because they are a powerful and chilling reminder of the casual stance that our government (i am from the united states) takes when it comes to taking innocent life. the people not pictured in the photos who were on the receiving end of these weapons were mothers, fathers, children. we are all human beings. we are all sacred. peace.
Next semester I might be doing headshots for the theatre dept. and I thought I'd get some practice in on myself
A Marsh full of American Lotus plants.
From a technical standpoint I like this one a lot better than the one I posted earlier. The focus is a lot better from front to back.

Soccer practice at Conestoga Rec Center. Mady seemed to like soccer a lot more than Evie. Evie pretty much refused to participate for at least half the time we we there. Mady on the other hand kept trying to run out on the court. We will see if Evie enjoys it more when she is a bit older.

One of the jobs that Walter Woolfenden completed, was the covering up of the railway cutting to Liverpool Lime Street Station, which consisted of hundreds of very long pre stressed concrete beams. Kabir says: Student, tell me, what is God?
He is the breath inside the breath.

Sit and be still
until in the time
of no rain you hear
beneath the dry wind’s
commotion in the trees
the sound of flowing
water among the rocks,
a stream unheard before,
and you are where
breathing is prayer.
