These boys and young men are practicing musicians. They use various kinds of drums, sing, clap their hands in a joyful rythm. Try and imagine how loud this is, in this narrow street of Tetouan. It was also fun to see all these smiles, getting ready for the circumcision ceremony that took place the day after.

Tapestry practice using a thicker warp (4 epi) and doubled yarn. It's kind of clunky and kind of interesting at the same time.
Late night band practice with some friends. The studio wasn't very big and it was very hard to light. I didn't quite get the light i wanted to but it made for some interesting results. My nikon 50mm 1.8 did quite well in the low light conditions. Most shots were shot with 2.8 it seems to be the sweet spot with this lens.

during the nuremberg trials, the axis leaders were specifically charged with crimes that the allied powers did not commit. prior to world war two, the official policy of targeting civilians by massive ariel bombardment was perceived as illegal and barbaric. these photos, taken by my grandfather, as he served as an aerial navigator for the allies serves to demonstrate the level of the savagery committed by both sides. the planes were sometimes miles up, and, lacking precision guidance systems were almost entirely unable to predict where their bombs would fall. i am a pacifist. i abhor the murder of any living thing. i posted these photos because they are a powerful and chilling reminder of the casual stance that our government (i am from the united states) takes when it comes to taking innocent life. the people not pictured in the photos who were on the receiving end of these weapons were mothers, fathers, children. we are all human beings. we are all sacred. peace.
Soccer practice at Conestoga Rec Center. Mady seemed to like soccer a lot more than Evie. Evie pretty much refused to participate for at least half the time we we there. Mady on the other hand kept trying to run out on the court. We will see if Evie enjoys it more when she is a bit older.
Practice makes perfect. Behind some dustbins in Hotwells Road Bristol, this face grabbed my attention!
