It's with joy and a sense of childlike awe and excitement that I'm learning to use my new camera - especially practising with Pixy as my subject!

This photo was taken using my new Canon EOS 5D and the Canon 50mm F/1.4 lens. The lighting was soft daylight mixed with halogen lamp light. No flash today ... because Pixy looked at the flash set up yesterday morning and ran away! He's either frightened by the umbrella on the stand (after accidentally knocking it over when I left it and him unsupervised a few days ago) or he has learnt to associate it with the bright, annoying light from the flash. Whatever the reason, I plan to proceed with caution so that he doesn't become "flash phobic". He is definitely the one in charge when we have a photography session!

After studying this image I realise that I could have improved it by using flash light to illuminate behind Pixy. This wouldn't have bothered him. (Also I think I prefer colours brigher and more vibrant than yellow around him.)

100's of Student Athletes gathered for an awesome opportunity

On May 17th, 2023, the AFL & PA Football News organized a Mega Practice at York Suburban High School, which involved individual skill training and College Coaching Evaluations per position. The objective was to provide participants with a unique opportunity to hone their skills under the guidance of seasoned coaches from local high schools. The event was a massive success, attracting enthusiastic football players from across the region who were eager to learn, practice, and receive valuable feedback from experienced college coaches. Overall, it was a great event that left a lasting impact on the participants involved.

I stumbled upon the cast of Deathtrap (and two observers - one inside and one outside) practicing their lines prior to their opening performance in just over a week (starts January 18).

I never knew the Off The Wall Theatre existed, and I think I will have to check out one of the performances!
