Practice drawing I put together. Didn't turn out too bad for a practice piece.

I drew a famous financial adviser. His picture was on a book cover.

Drawing took about two hours to put together.

As I wrote yesterday we are staying over at Rotsidan in our camper van. After our morning coffee we took a walk to the sea and stood here practicing Tai Chi. There was a chilly wind blowing in from the sea so we practiced wearing woolley hat, gloves, and a winter jacket with a thick jumper underneath. This felt a bit unusual and all those clothes plus the wind made balance a bit wobbly, but it was worth it to practice in such a lovely place.

This week-end we will be brushing up our Tai Chi together with the Umeå group and friends - the first group practice since Covid came along. Which is why we are practicing extra hard just now, because we don't want to look like we've forgotten everything in the last two years. (I'm not sure this is a good attitude really....)

There are three sections to the practice, the first being the most important in some ways. That first part I have trained most days so I'm comfortable with that. The second part I am much less sure of, but know it well enough to keep up with the others. The third part? I'll be practicing a lot tomorrow!!!

After training with that lovely view we returned to the camper. On the way back I took the extra photo. It's a fairly random forest view picture, with our van down in the corner. It’s a slightly sparse forest growing in the poor soil here. The soil is thin because it's probably only 1000 years since the rocks beneath this soil appeared out of the sea, and it takes more than a millennium for a good soil to appear in this climate and geology.

Back at the van it was time for breakfast, warming croissants and hot-cross buns in our new stove-top Omni oven. Delicious!

Then it was home to unpack, and in my case to head into town to succesfully help a friend get a punctured wheel off a trailer.

Another good day to be grateful for!

This is just a quick ten minute practice with my new tablet. Yay. It's fun.

[LOL @ the background. I didn't know what to put so i just put a few brushes on it. haha yeah I know its craaap, but the purpose of this pic was just to practice drawing hair.]

Neeeed advice on lighting/shading etc please?

I'm going to try and do a proper edit now. You know, one that takes time and effort and that will hopefully look good. But most likely not.

Could you stare for a while? Purely no photoshop edit, just zoomed the lens.
