1930's functionalist architecture with a bit of art deco flavour. The former central post office building in Helsinki.
Apparently the owner of this construction hoarding (or some interested third party) was incensed at having their "Post no bills" signs covered up with advertising posters, so they scraped off enough poster to reveal the signs, then posted their own bills drawing attention to them.

Bike was stripped down sent for powder coating and rebiult using parts i ahd kicking around , still a few tweeks and tarnished parts that need replacing ...

Between 1917 and 1924, the former main post office, designed by J. Crouwel jr. was realised in the style of the Amsterdam school, inspired by the work of the Finnish architect Saarinen. The magnificent hall with parabolic arches of yellow vitrified bricks is very impressive indeed. Global accessibility trough postal services is symbolised by the cast statues of the five continents, constructud by H.A. van den Eynde. The sixth image depicts trade and prosperity. Transport via land, sea and air is shown at the entrance. The cloack and the national copast of arms in the glazed tiles on the crosscut walls were created by the Porceleyne Fles.
Before I came to this place, I didn't know about the area having quite a few natural arches. As a matter of fact, I have not even seen any photo of this particular arch on the Internet. So if it has not been named by anyone, I am going to name it "Post Office Arch". Why? Well, it 's tucked underneath a sandstone formation called Post Office Rock.
