The lamp post is an actual sculpture from the Halifax Waterfront, the rest is me playing around in Elements and finishing it off in Snap Art.
I was going to add a melting watch, but felt it would clutter the image too much.
I had a course to attend in Glasgow, so took the opportunity to catch up with John and head out west. I have never been to Craigendoran Pier before, so this was a first for me.

This old post and rail fence has been left in situ perhaps within the Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mt. Coot-tha. The form of art and interest at the Gardens knows no ends and the Brisbane City Council adds to the selection every now and then.
Flickr friends, I will be rather low key for a little while, rest assured I will be trying to keep up with your wonderful shots though. Our laptop is about to pass away and has been replaced, the problem is after a lifetime of Windows we have crossed over to the other side with a Mac Book but now realise not only do we know nothing with a capital N but we have to set some core programs up (like printing!!!) and have to start back at the letter A for Apple. So stressed out we are.....bit late in life for this. We have to climb this mountain or give up and walk away. Take care all.

Yes, it's a zoom-burst of a Chrismas tree. I didn't even move the tripod compared to the other shot.
The difference between those two is:
- No additional flash used here, so the tree remains basically invisible
- Higher f-stop
- As a little extra, I stopped the rotation of the zoom-ring 8 times during the 20s-exposure, in order to get the articulated little dots in the lines
- Slided white-balance and contrast for achieving the blue tones
These posts are the remains of an old timber jetty at St Mary's Lighthouse. The calm high tide and flat sky shortly after sunrise gave the opportunity for a long exposure.

These medallions are from the old Fall River Post Office Building carved by Thomas Richard Kessel in 1880. They`re shown in the gardens of the Fall River Historical society.
