tweaked (for color & sun) version of a familiar view, the partial ice-melt was very fortuitous for achieving the (partial) mountain reflection

West Hill Lift, East Sussex. A funicular Lift that runs on steep rails up through a tunnel made in the cliffs. A short journey but saves your legs from having to walk up a very steep hill and steps up onto the West hill to the Hastings Castle. Worth it as the views are spectacular from up there. Spring is awakening everywhere. Have a wonderful new week, Flickr friends.

Photographed at Montgomery County, Maryland.

Taken on a recent walk-around in a recently developed area of the West End in Vancouver. East of Burrard Street and south of Davie. The wavy geometric shapes make an interesting facade to photograph.

THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL VIEWS, COMMENTS, FAVES AND INVITES!

Happy Slider Sunday!

I shot thorough a double pane glass window from far off ~

had to pump up the light to get the detail as well as

a few other tweaks

Does anyone know why I cannot add to the slider group?

I don't have anything in there. I got it in by going to the group page and adding the photo that way.

This was a slight variation from another photo of the same title.

It almost seems like a very lonely road we are on.

Happy Slider Sunday

Might be aliens invading somewhere, just not here at home. This is the tool box on my husbands truck.

Two women treat themselves as enemies, 'cause a man said them that one is more beautiful than the other woman.

So the girl looks for a safe refuge in the 7 dwarfs' house, but the woman finds her hiding-place, she dresses up as an old woman, approaches and poisons the girl.

Only a man can save the girl!

This is a very old cactus and only started re-flowering again in the last couple of years. I got excited when I saw these few buds the other morning and now it has several more. Never give up hope, never say die! 😁😍

THANK YOU FOR ALL VIEWS, COMMENTS, FAVES AND INVITES.

I am in desperate need of some colour on this dreary wet July day. I wouldn't mind the European heatwave for a few days, minus the wildfires of course. "Montbretia" Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora flowers processed with Liquid colour II filter in Topaz Studio 2.

Looking back at my previous images, I realised this is the 2nd time this same photo has featured in Sliders Sunday (see first comment box below) HSS!

Thank you to all my wonderful Flickr friends for your supportive messages & comments. The garden & polytunnel are keeping me busy so Flickr has taken a back seat lately, apologies for my lack of interaction. Martin's overall health situation has deteriorated slightly & he is reliant on oxygen more for day to day activities, but we are still able to pootle around garden centres & enjoy occasional lunches out. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts & prayers.

Tuscan landscape with some additional postprocessing

Taken at Hunnington Beach in Newport News, VA many moons ago with a Canon A610 P&S. I ran the original, very plain image through a few soft-filters and this is what spit out.

Last year I got one of those free packets of wildflowers seeds in the mail. I planted them and not much happened. This spring I have some wildflowers in a gorgeous blueish purplish color.
