if i told you things i did before
told you how i used to be
would you go along with someone like me?
if you knew my story word for word
handled all of my history
would you go along with someone like me?

"You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talkin' to? You talkin' to me? Well I'm the only one here. Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?"

My interpretation of an original photo posted by Klsanderson at the PostProcess Group for editing by the group members.
That's my granddaughter in the foreground.
Statsraad Lehmkuhl, the pride and joy of Bergen. Well, one of them. Rosenkrantztårnet in the background is another one.
Postprocessing: Crop (Gimp 2.4.2).

Common flies - deplored as pests, yet surprisingly colorful and beautiful in their own way. The difficulty behind doing macro photography of flies is that they see and react to the light from a flash (particularly those that are wirelessly triggered by an optical trigger) before the photo can be taken. This photo was thus taken using natural light, which also allowed for the fly's colors to come through. I can't help but feel that its pose seems somewhat thoughtful.
Shot with an Olympus E-520 and Zuiko Digital 50mm f/2.0 macro lens with EX-25 extension tube mounted for higher magnification. This was taken hand-held and manually focused with the assistance of the Olympus ME-1 magnifying eyecup. ISO 800 and aperture of f/8. This image was cropped by ~43%, and noise was removed with Noise Ninja (priority was given to image sharpness, so some splotches are visible in certain parts of the background).
This may be a green bottle fly. Sighted in Central Park, NYC.
