Postprocessed with curves - original file was darker, probably to differences in "ISO 100" settings between D80 and D700.
Believe it or not, this was produced from the same original as Orange Pinwheel, posted just prior to this.

Here, our new kitty Maddy plays a game called "eat the delicious
human". Is it not obvious that if she were a few times larger, she'd
eat us in a heartbeat? Cutely, but still.
I usually don't postprocess, but the color on this one was so
terrible, I had to. Darn the yellowy incandescence of our indoor
lighting!

This was just an initial experiment. What I want to do is a panorama and then convert the panorama to a "planet" like this rudimentary one.

I couldn't figure out when I pulled this off my cell phone why I took a picture of myself in a Starbuck's restroom mirror. What on earth? Then I remembered--it's cuz I had huge dark circles and bags under my eyes. Don't really show up in the pic as much as they did in real life. Yes, they looked worse than this in real life.
EnSight post processing of airflow around and through engine bay of nascar. External aerodynamics and underhood flow.

Strobist: Each frame was shot with a tightly snooted Vivitar 285HV over each player's head to look like a spotlight. The images were combined in PS using the Layers->Lighten mode.

Note: shot indoors, low light against bright window and reflective plastic high chair back surface. Filter blows out the highlight and creates a nice pink background.
