Fuji
Der Fuji ist ein Vulkan und mit 3776,24 m Höhe über dem Meeresspiegel der höchste Berg Japans. Sein Gipfel befindet sich auf der japanischen Hauptinsel Honshū an der Grenze zwischen den Präfekturen Yamanashi und Shizuoka. Seit 2013 ist er Teil des Weltkulturerbes.

Die geeignetste Umsetzung des Namens im Deutschen dürfte Fuji sein. Manche Japanologen vertreten allerdings die Auffassung, man könne
Fujisan
auch als Eigennamen verwenden, und berufen sich dabei zum Beispiel auf Mont Blanc und Mount Everest, da bei jenen das fremde Wort für Berg ebenfalls unübersetzt bleibt. Die Silbe -san würde damit als Bestandteil des Namens aufgefasst.
Gleichermaßen verhält es sich mit der ebenfalls heute noch anzutreffenden Schreibweise 不二 fuji, welche sich mit „nicht zwei“, also „einmalig“ wiedergeben lässt.

This started of as three bracketed infrared images. They were merged to a 32 bit file in Photomatix, saved and opened up in Adobe Camera Raw where the 32 bit file was processed. It was then opened up in Photoshop where the red and blue channels were swapped and then it was converted to a 16 bit file, After that it had some processing using Topaz Clarity and Detail filters, before being opened up in Topaz Restyle where the colours were swapped around
He nearly made me late for my appointment. Yeah, it was all his fault. I didn't alter these images, they are exactly as taken so my only post processing was the collage creating and framing. I couldn't decide which one to post. The largest was by far my favorite but I was begged to post more than one and this was my solution.
Nothing quite heralds the arrival of spring like cherry blossom. The streets and gardens are all the more beautiful right now for the show on these ornamental trees.

Got up this morning in a playful mood (I love being retired) and was definitely thinking "out of the box" - picked up the Nikon and put on the 10-24, which I haven't done in a while. Sipped some coffee.
The light streaming through the windows invigorates. The sun was shining brilliantly, although the air was heavy with humidity, but it wasn't raining (yay) and the sky was void of cloud cover (rare the past month).
Shooting with a wide angle is fun! Hit the inside of the house first and then went outdoors, but those shots can wait for another day.
I kept the fun going with Photoshop... Five For Fun.

Post processing was done the same on all images. Each is as framed and reduced to 180dpi from 300. No other images or color were added. Toning, saturation and filters were all used in the same order for each photo. Spot saturation and toning on each for finished results.
This year the FFF+ have created a group challenge called 'Five on The Fifth' (FOTF) ... five images in the form of a collage must be uploaded on the 5th of each month, with there being a different theme, set by a member of the group each month.
The photos can be five different images or five images of the one subject/object shot in different ways, as long as they are presented in the form of a collage.

I may be pushing the boundaries on this one ... its a manipulated composite of 5 images, re-creating the Gold Coast skyline as [not] seen from the lawns of the Gold Coast Arts Centre. The city sky scrapers are across a river and behind the sound shell structure, but not in the same perspective or dimensions as you see them here.
Possibly this is a really close up shot of sequins
