Sometimes I see potential in a photo for these effects. Sometimes I just go willy nilly and see what happens. Sometimes I just put the photo in the trash and start over.

This is done using a layer mask and blur effect in Photoshop Elements.

Postprocessed for Sliders Sunday - my first contribution.

I don't usually do this but, after posting my slider I thought I would pursue a technique I have seen on flickr and try my hand at it.

Here is my first attempt after some tutorials on You Tube and about an hour and a half of clicks.

Opinions appreciated. I am sure it is not every ones cup of tea, but I like the effect.

Some daffodils I got to bring in some spring.

That time of year when flickr slows down. Looks like I got my days mixed up.

Postprocessing with Flypaper textures.

Just add a touch of Topaz fairy dust.

... changing postprocessing for fun - an experiment.

 

Germany. Bavaria. Mittelfranken. Altmühl river. A hot July summerday nearby the Altmühlsee. July ... a month with massive infrared light. So i don't hesitate to take "winter" shots in summer.

 

Nikon D40. Lens 18.0-55.0mm f/3.5-5.6. ISO 200. 1/800 sec. f/8. 34mm. Using an infrared filter 720nm. Red/Blue channel swap in postrocessing in order to get the cyan sky.

When ever possible I try to find that thing that stands out. The unusual. The different thing. I think this one had a look to it.
