The Earth; 3rd Stone from the Sun

I've paid lots of attention to the Pink Dogwood in our yard, but the white Dogwood is just as beautiful!

Well I had some blue tule, my lamp was a willing model. We had a photo shoot and then....

The end of my tulips. Reminds me of little shoes made of petals.

Aberdeen is currently hosting SPECTRA, Scotland’s Festival of Light, and as we can't get to see it ourselves, I thought I'd make my own Light Show that can at least fill the computer monitor with some intense colour ☺️!!

Happy Sliders Sunday! 😊

I noticed this little West End forest on my street yesterday when what was going to be a 15 minute walk turned into an hour long photo expedition.

Fleurs d'amélanchier

Been waiting to post this one... I think the season is upon us. BOO! 👻🎃👻

Last November when I went to the Bidwell Tavern for lunch with a dear friend, there was a display of carved pumpkins on hay bales along the walkway and I took a shot. Added some fall foliage then mirrored it and did some digital magic in Photoshop to make it look like an illustration. The center was blank and the perfect place for me to draw in a friendly free-form ghostly figure.

tweaked (for color & sun) version of a familiar view, the partial ice-melt was very fortuitous for achieving the (partial) mountain reflection

I slid this into what could be a universe of micro organisms... just added circles and filters, then played with tone and added color. This was originally a b&w shot of Pampas grass. See below.

My own photo.

Using Gimp for a painting touch (waterpixel filter + edge + select by colour + textures) and DarkTable software (suturation + contrast).

Wishing everyone all the best for 2016 :D

Dew and streams of water on the passenger window of my husbands truck. HSS!

Rose in my flower garden. Lots of effects used in the photo program of my Mac to get this result. The only way that I know how to paint. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler.
