In Shenandoah National Park. There are some really nice images of the falls on the internet. I expected more water, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It was a nice 1.5mile-round-trip trek to the falls, but I went a tad too late for peak fall colors. I have realized that once the peak is over, the change is really rapid. There were many leaf-less trees already, but nevertheless got to see some good color in some lower elevations.
Lazing in bed with my iPad and a couple of blurry images, this is what happens. Good thing I didn't add medication to that mix!

delicious adj. 1.highly pleasing to the senses, esp. to taste or smell 2. pleasing in the highest degree; delightful; extremely appetizing.

In this shot: steamed bean curd, steamed bok choy, Shanghai dumplings, chive dumplings, served with Jasmine Tea, and a small saucer of chili sauce on the side
I believe the Mama Gray Catbird is looking at the eggs here. It was so hot that day. I noticed she was off and on the nest throughout the day, visiting the birdbaths often.
A friend of mine dealing cards (well at least his hands are). Tried some PS postprocessing and well, i like it!
Mama was still off the nest and Papa was still standing guard. I stood up on the window seat, inside, to take this photo. The calm before the storm...
Tropical Storm Elsa swept through this area of southern NJ during the night of July 9, 2021. The strong winds blew very heavy rain against the house all night long. The bedroom windows seemed to be lashed constantly, waking me up many times that night. The bedroom windows are directly about the rhododendron bush where this nest was located.
We found out in the morning that a tornado EF1 touched down in Woodbine about 13 miles away. I woke after my husband did. he had not looked out the window. It was up to me.
Nigel kindly stopped at several location so we could shoot photos to our hearts' content. Skoggvol Naturreservat is a wildlife reserve on Andøya.

Vesterålen is a district and archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just north of the Lofoten district and archipelago and west of the city of Harstad. It is the northernmost part of Nordland county and lies within the Arctic Circle (one of the five major circles of latitude that mark maps of the Earth). In 2012, it is the parallel of latitude that runs 66° 33′ 44″ (or 66.5622°) north of the Equator.
I decided to have a puddle in photoshop and be a little artistic with this one. Various layers for watercolour/underpainting, some added lens flare for effect and different layer blend modes produced this image which I think is quite reasonable while remaining fairly subtle in the edits.
Probably still needs a little work here and there, but I'll leave it as is for now.
