For Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday “gratitude” challenge using “stained linen” texture.
This picture was taken about a week after Steve Jobs’ death at the Palo Alto, CA(his home) Apple store . The storefront was covered with post-it-notes written to him, thanking him for his contributions. Some of them were surprisingly poignant. As a big time Apple fan, I found it interesting and sadly, sweet. (see another shot below)
Reading about Anita Berber, whose favorite way of killing time was to mix ether and chloroform in a bowl, stirred with a white rose. She would then eat the petals.
Post-it note, highlighter, pens, sharpie, she died at 29
What constitutes a "doodle" is entirely up to you. It can be a quick doodle while you're on the phone, an intricate drawing, or anything in between. There are no rules about what you use to make your doodle or the subject you choose. It could be a portrait, a cartoon, or even a shopping list, the only rule is that it must be on a Post-it note (or similar sticky note).

A series of photographs I made at university in Coventry, for a now-forgotten reason.
Hertford Street, Coventry.
A project by Stefani Tadio of Pine Tree Arts that can be found in All Things Paper, the book. Overall, the projects are not necessarily quick, but they are easy when you follow the step-by-step instructions and photographs. They are for the crafter who loves to make beautiful, unusual things that will last a long time and be gift-worthy.

It's blue. It's cute. It's full of Hot Coffee. Enjoy.
I figured I better use some cute to counter act the crazy scary Friday the 13th mug. Hope you like it.
I realised I had not taken a photo, and my mother bought me some more post-its the other day, so I stole saxsux's idea. :3
Cubs went a lot better than I was expecting today. They even made me a large pancake with the left over batter. Wewt!
It has been a week now. I miss you! =[
a co-worker that used to sit in front of me would make random drawings on post-its and stick them on the divider between our desks every once in a while. these are just some of them.

Yes, I do believe that's 3 VCRs hooked up, as well as a 100 CD changer. How quaint. These days, I just use my computer for everything. But you can tell I was starting to get into that -- notice Windows on my big TV!
I still use the VCR on the bottom, and the one on the top is still operational. The one in the middle isn't. The stereo is now broken, but still works. You just have to completely crank it and waste electricity. The CD player broke, and Best Buy violated their maintenance contract by not replacing it after 4 repairs. [They called them repairs, then at #4 retroactively called them cleanings and thus not repairs]. The blacklight is broken.
The Mr. Bungle poster, which I got years before I ever heard Mr. Bungle (I thought they might be somebody I might eventually like--and was right), is in my living room. The big TVdied after 23 years, and the monitor is of course dead. The little TV (to the left of the big TV) is still alive. The speaker barely works.
I don't use the wireless headphones anymore (transmitter on top of little TV) because they sucked.
And no - I have no clue what that fork is doing by my head.
The speakers are all still functional, of course.
The company on my shorts? Long gone. They bought my house, I quit 1 month after settlement, and they ceased to exist within 2 yrs.
CD player, Mr. Bungle poster, NDCGroup shorts, Post-It note, TV, TV out, VCR, audio transmitter, battery charger, blacklight, christmas lights, fork, monitor, picture, poster, speakers, stereo, sticker, world map.
cartoon: Batman Beyond. music: Mr. Bungle.

Post-it Note Jaguar -- Rear Windshield
One team member decided that a little personalization was in order before we finished, in case Walt didn't recognize his car.

Meh - one day when I really wish I wasn't doing a 365.
Great evening at the cinema - saw "Paul".... the Alien movie by Simon Pegg & Nick Frost. Many laugh out loud, tears in the eyes moments in the film.... although I suspect only geeks will think this.
This was the second film we saw this week ... On Monday we saw "The King's Speech" - An awesome & moving film.
Two cinema visits in one week...... Normally we only see two a year!

Stripe and weave. Move and Dodge. Line and Color. I hope you like this crazy line and stripe mug of coffee.
After nearly 8 years of marriage, my husband and I still leave each other love notes. They are a bit shorter than they were doing the courting days, but they are filled with much more meaning. Generally our love notes consist of post-its on the bathroom mirror, in the shower, on the computer, in a wallet. One time my husband made a heart out of posts its and stuck it to the refrigerator.

We've finally met up with the guys from the office over the road through the power of Post-it Notes, Flickr and Twitter!
Because really, they're perfect together
Have a purr-fect Valentine's Day!
Post-it note, sharpie, pens, highlighters, shameless pandering to internet cat memes
Hadn't done one of these in a while, so I figured it was time for another Post-It Note impression. Quick, who am I this time?
A trail of tiny post-it notes on the floor coming down the stairs led to this post-it note mosaic artwork of a guitar, good work, whoever did this.
My latest thought on life!...We always keep planning about the future, instead of enjoying the present. So isn't our life a huge post-it note?...
And so it is: virbinc.com Say goodbye to Unborn Media. As well as the abortion jokes. Virb Inc. is no longer just a figment of the internet's imagination. Blankenship will be transmorphing this page into magical goodness this summer, but for now - chalk another splash page up to Simmy. I am a one-trick pony.
Sure, recreating a T rex from DNA trapped in amber would be cool, but making a cat-sized protohorse would be even cooler. Bonus, it [probably] wouldn't eat your face.

This is an edited version of the picture that I took. I apologize for the carpet filaments on the crane.
This is not just a normal paper crane, it is a crane that my friend made me in 6th grade. We always sat next to each other because our names are close together in the alphabet, just as he continues to sit behind me in classes this year. Every day for a month in 6th grade, he made me a paper crane out of different colored post-it notes. I kept my favorite 3, but this one was in my favorite color.
Also, this is kind of a tribute to one of my best friends. I've mentioned him a few times on here, but I've never really said much. Since I was 4 days old, we've been extremely close. He's always wavered between being my older brother, my twin, and my friend. I moved an hour and a half away when I was 6, but we never stopped talking, even when we had to use our parents' computers or spend hours on the phone. I see him at least twice a year, and recently, at least twice a summer. One of us is always injured, so it's become a tradition for me to go down and spend a few days at his house staying up late, sleeping in late, and ordering lunch at 2 pm. In over 16 years, we've never had a fight, never been angry or mad at each other, and never stopped talking to each other. I don't know a life without him being a part of it, and I hope I never have to live in that world. Even though all of our friends have told us that we're perfect for each other, that we balance each other perfectly, I've never thought of him like that. We've always been friends, and I thank him so much for never once judging me or doing anything to make me mad, and for knowing me better than almost anyone else, even though we've lived hours away for 10 years.
Sorry, I was feeling sentimental.
"You walked with me
Footprints in the sand
And helped me understand
Where I'm going
You walked with me
When I was all alone
With so much unknown
Along the way
Then I heard you say
I promise you
I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
And I'll carry you
When you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand"
