I always feel like I got a 1-up once I get my morning coffee. I hope you like it.

Kind of feeling like I'm pulling a "Joaquin Phoenix" by telling everybody I'm done with my 365, and now deciding not to let it go quite yet... but in the end it is my project for me to do what I please. Let's just say I got some very heartfelt thoughts and advice from somebody I have a lot of respect for. They didn't necessarily try to convince me to continue the project, they instead gave me some of their experiences and thoughts for me to think about. So I've decided that I just need to make a slight shift to my mindset regarding this project, and thats what I'm going to try and do.

So I heard it. And it reminds me of fast cars, which was my least favorite song on Atomic Bomb. But after listening to it around, um, 7 or 8 times, I have to say it's growing on me. It's still Bono.

Oh, and I did this after the first time I heard it, and now I think the lyric might be 'Let Me In The Sound' - but oh well.

AGGGHHHH - Am getting a headache, possibly as a result of the rather rowdy night with the girlies we had yesterday - GRACE IS 14!!! WOOP WOOP!!!

Unfortunately, Zen is ill so we had to ring her and pretend she was there. She had to have her own 1 man party at home in bed. *sigh*

I have so much to edit!

Am now switching from Fat Boy Slim to The Beatles. It's doing my head in.

Inspired by my new custom Adidas sneakers that just arrived yesterday. I hope you like it.

But not from self. From Mr Dixon. Good use of the underline Mr Dixon.

Dodger was my pet Chihuahua and a long standing member of my family since 1999. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to him. He had quite a life and he will be missed. (1999-2014) I made his tail the handle.

I call it Cubicleism, not Cubism.

This is what I do when I should be working on my comprehensives. Oh well, reading week is for, well, doing anything but reading.

Browsing my RSS feeds (I guess that counts as reading, doesn't it?) I noticed that Jason Kottke had posted about origami. In the post, inspired by a recent article on Robert Lang, an origamist extraordinaire, Kottke posted a link to a simple origami project and a photo of the finished product.

In the past I've been more than frustrated by paper folding; I think it's the representation of a three dimensional object in two dimensions that gets me. But, after having stumbled through the instructions once (and getting the subject of the next photo in my stream), I ended up with my very own post-it-note box. What an achievement!

The pattern is based on the Bow Truss logo and I added a T-shirt coaster under it. I hope you like it.

I haven't had a coffee tragedy in a while so today the glass mug has a hole in it.

We got a new van, As a joke Post-It notes were used just to remind people of where everything is. As for me, as I thought the engine was in the glove box :-)

From life/observation

It must have been dropped while filling it up. These kind of coffee tragedies are always sad. That moment when your mug leaves your hand and you watch it slowly fall to the floor. I haven't had this type of thing happen to me in a while but the memories stick with you. I hope you like it.

I arrived in Manchester shortly after the riots of 2011. There were police officers literally on every single street corner. You could also see the boarded up windows of shops that had been looted and it was the talk of the town. Most Mancunian's were pretty pissed at the people who did riot, and a wall of peace was started at the Arndale Center that was in the center of the looting. And make no mistake about it, the riots were about looting. There were reports of some people smashing windows to a shoe shop and then trying on shoes to make sure they looted ones that fit. I suppose the saying "if criminals were smarter they wouldn't be criminals" applies here.

With a big red check mark handle this "To Do:" list mug has the words "Draw More Coffee" already on it. I do hope to draw more coffee this year. Happy New Year to you and I hope your 2014 is better than your 2013.

Post-it notes at a makeshift memorial for the victims of the June 3, 2017 terrorist attack in London.

I finally found a white paint marker to add to my collection and it yielded some interesting effects over black marker. The mug is based on a Starbucks mug that I use everyday at work. I hope you like it.

2014 might be finally over but it seems like 2015 isn't going that great either. It's late February and I finally drew you a mug of coffee. I hope you like it.

Why yes, that is a Taylor Lautner picture up on my wall. ;)
