When all these tasks have been yanked off the wall (and recycled), I'll be ready for my parents' arrival on Tuesday for Thanksgiving. I have, as you can see, a lot to do.

Featuring artwork on Post-Its by over 20 artists including Jorge R. Gutierrez, Sandra Equihua, Gabe Swarr, Jim Mahfood, MyTarPit, Boris Hoppek, and select others.
Exhibition was one of thirty in the Berlin Character Walk, which was part of the Pictoplasma Conference (Pictopia).

Some friends are talking about a trip to Singapore in 2014. And then one told me about Singapore Chili Crab. And this was my reaction.
Current client project to do a OSX application icon that is one part sticky notes and two parts to-do.
Simple enough metaphor and nothing crazy (if it works, it works). Sent through some colored sketches for approval and once one is picked, off to render it at the different .icns sizes ready for the dock.
Will hopefully debut alongside the new Mac App Store in a few months :).

For Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday “gratitude” challenge using “stained linen” texture.
This picture was taken about a week after Steve Jobs’ death at the Palo Alto, CA(his home) Apple store . The storefront was covered with post-it-notes written to him, thanking him for his contributions. Some of them were surprisingly poignant. As a big time Apple fan, I found it interesting and sadly, sweet. (see another shot below)
Reading about Anita Berber, whose favorite way of killing time was to mix ether and chloroform in a bowl, stirred with a white rose. She would then eat the petals.

What constitutes a "doodle" is entirely up to you. It can be a quick doodle while you're on the phone, an intricate drawing, or anything in between. There are no rules about what you use to make your doodle or the subject you choose. It could be a portrait, a cartoon, or even a shopping list, the only rule is that it must be on a Post-it note (or similar sticky note).

Not all is well in the world of Danbo. She always thought all Danbos were born equal, in size and in particular, height. Then one day she caught a fleeting glimpse of a bigger Danbo, a taller one. As hard as she could try, she could not forget that there is a taller Danbo out there and that she is short. In her heart she feels pain and sadness, she cannot help but be envious.
"Envy (also called invidiousness) is best defined as an emotion that "occurs when a person lacks another's (perceived) superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it." " - Wikipedia.
I have been keeping this one under my hat for so long, even before I bought Danbo. When I first saw her, I had all these ideas of what I could do if I had the time to set up the shots. Now without the pressure of a photo a day, I can take my time planning and executing photos. The core concept for this photo did not really jell until a few days ago, then last night I started creating some basic props for it and doing test shots. They did not quite achieve the result I wanted, but sleeping on it overnight gave me a different clarity on the scene.
This one is a little esoteric. Danbo figurines come in 2 sizes - 75 mm and 130 mm. The one I have is the smaller one. The shadow of Danbo in the photo crosses the mark at 130 mm on the tape measure.

After nearly 8 years of marriage, my husband and I still leave each other love notes. They are a bit shorter than they were doing the courting days, but they are filled with much more meaning. Generally our love notes consist of post-its on the bathroom mirror, in the shower, on the computer, in a wallet. One time my husband made a heart out of posts its and stuck it to the refrigerator.

Yes, it's true...today I turn 30! I feel wiser and more mature already!
This birthday almost snuck up on me, I definitely wasn't dreading, I mean anticipating it at all! ;-) Thank goodness I wrote myself this handy (and super cliche) note on the mirror to remind myself about the big day! I don't usually do self-portraits, so this is an exciting day for many reasons!
