The recently opened 3M shop on Omotesando Dori in Tokyo. The interior is amazingly colorful with some sort of product sphere in the center of the shop - and they have Halloween decorations on the window.
Love these for books. Not only can you mark a page but you can write notes on them too. So simple but genius.

Stick notes are one of my favorite things. I've got them in all sorts of
colors, sizes and shapes! My grocery lists, to-do's, idea notes and sketches
go on these little guys. I use them as bookmarks and tabs, too.

S2 pupils really take to this task. They are introduced to the notion that designers must attend to the requirements of their target users. They collect images from magazines that consider areas such as: leisure, sport, holidays, entertainment, interior design, hobbies/recreation, architecture, gadgets and so on.
In no time they produce amazing imge boards that will then inform the initial ideas that follow.
Next the must relate, in written terms, how their chosen images convey the lifestyle of the target user they are trying to capture. Post-it notes come in handy at this point any a variety of colours helps with the coding system we promote.

It's possible that my housemates and I may have drawn moustaches on the cover stars of that magazine...
An idea I got from a book I read, however put it into my life! I hope I'm not a failure at ALL the above!

I jumped in the car the other day and this little guy was on my pants. I grabbed a post it note that was in the car and helped him along his way. He was really tiny maybe only an inch long, literally an inch worm.

(On a side note, I just realized it is quite ridiculous that I - rather than cleaning it physically - spend quite a while polishing the desk with a healing brush in Photoshop. :p )
GDS hosted the first ever International Design in Government Conference to bring the community together in one place for two days full of talks, workshops, breakout sessions and a panel discussion.

Sometimes I'll take something out of context during a conversation and write it on a post-it note and stick it somewhere.
This made no sense even WITH context.

Inspired by an article on Robert Lang and his origami in the New Yorker (more here), I found these simple instructions for making a little box out of a Post-It Note. It floats on water, so I'm calling it a Post-It Boat. Make one yourself and post the result to Flickr.
