Hạnh phúc cả đời không sao đủ... Nỗi đau chút xíu... nhớ đậm sâu...

One Canon 580 speedlight with stoffen diffuser held off camera left by me and triggered by a short PC cable.
TTL metering.
I'm thinking about using this (or something similar) for an album cover of a "demo" I'm going to record and give out to people for free.
What do you think? The quote is from Macbeth (Shakespeare).
Suggestions/comments welcome :)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handycam
Handycam is a Sony brand used to market its camcorder range. It was launched in 1985 as the name of the first Video8 camcorder, replacing Sony's previous line of Betamax-based models, and the name was intended to emphasize the "handy" palm size nature of the camera, made possible by the new miniaturized tape format. This was in marked contrast to the larger, shoulder mounted cameras available before the creation of Video8, and competing smaller formats such as VHS-C.
Sony has continued to produce Handycams in a variety of guises ever since, developing the Video8 format to produce Hi8 (equivalent to S-VHS quality) and later Digital8, using the same basic format to record digital video. The Handycam label continues to be applied as recording formats evolve.

Back to Briscoe Park on a sunny day to see if it would be busy. It was not.
We were scoping out the park to see if it is a possible site for a future event.
This view is down the path to the official parking lot. There is closer parking that is unofficial but probably fine on weekends. :)

This is the same kid that just went ass-over-tea-kettle into the ground. Luckily, he got up and limped away. I don't think he suffered any longterm injuries.
I like this picture because I love how the size of the coach looms over the players little body. Watching these kids play football is surreal because of how small all of them are.
Oslo LUX 2013
Prime Hex B (2013) is a time-based light installation by Marius Watz in which fluorescent tubes mounted in a hexagonal grid structure are switched on and off according to individually assigned time intervals (e.g. on for 7 seconds, off for 7 etc.). All assigned intervals are unique prime numbers, giving the installation its name and significantly affecting the behavior of the installation.
As a consequence of the combination of simple timing logic and prime number intervals the installation will exhibit a binary on/off animation behavior. If given enough time the system is mathematically guaranteed to iterate through every possible permutation of on/off grid elements, the sequence being predetermined by the distribution of primes among elements. The primes also ensure that the system will have a very long non-repeating interval (calculated by factoring the intervals of all elements.) Occasionally local patterns may appear that look recognizable or at the very least non-random and pre-programmed (and thus intentional). In reality, such patterns are a matter of mathematical necessity.
The origin of the Prime series was the 2010 public art commission for the Bybanen light rail in Bergen, leading to the installation of 6 Prime grids in varying sizes in one 2-km long tunnel using LED lighting elements and electronic time relays. The prime number logic was chosen to reduce repetition and eliminate the inevitable bias of pre-programmed content.
Traveling into a line of heavy showers, possible thunderstorms while passing thru the Sacramento area! It's been a while since I've driven thru a downpour like this. This was during our brief outing to South Lake Tahoe/Stateline, NV with my cousin, and her coworkers Hnin and Khin. We were heading back home at this time...
(Friday afternoon, April 7, 2017)
Weather scenario/forecast:
A powerful storm system had slammed California from April 6-8, 2017. Its main frontal system had moved into NorCal Thursday night with strong winds, heavy rain and mountain snow. Also, a low pressure trough off the coast had remained there until late Saturday. The low had continued to send bands of showers and possible t-storms across NorCal thru Saturday. Snow levels were around 4000-5000 feet by Friday and then lowered by Friday night & Saturday. A break was to occur Saturday & early Sunday before another, but weaker, frontal system moves in late Sunday. Impacts from this storm was almost on par to the biggest storms of this past winter for the region in terms of potential flooding and damaging winds.
The combination of heavy rain and melting snow at lower elevations had raised the risk of flooding. Enough snow had fallen over Donner Pass along I-80 (including U.S. Route 50 where I drove to get to and from Tahoe) to make for a wintry travel. The passes were hazardous due to the heavy snow & strong winds... Drive safely out there!

The Great Heath 10KM 2013 Road Race and Fun Run was held at The Great Heath, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, Ireland on Sunday 20th January 2013 at 11:00. This leads on from two very successful previous runnings of the event by The Heath GAA club and the local community. The race starts and finishes at The Heath GAA club (just adjacent to the M8 Motorway). This event has grown in popularity and it was again very well organised. The very cold winter weather of the past few days made sure that running conditions were about right. There was a tough breeze in places on the course which followed a left-handed loop course into the Laois countryside.
