Positioning

Positioning of the Torch purposefully off centre in the from and upside down to create chaos. One colour in a dull, textures frame to make the torch the focal point. Shot from above for unique perspective with a shot DOF the the shot could be taken without blur.

Seems I never uploaded photos I took when Melissa and I went to the Virginia Signal Meet in 2019. These are on the NS Shenandoah Line which I hear are slowly being replaced now. This is Arcadia Control Points taken on 4/28/2019.

This maybe the hammy that drank for like 15 minutes from before. Almost the same position. Still trying to figure out the most comfortable way to drink from the upright water bottle.

Positioned at Hermitage Moorings, looking from east to west. Trying out my new 17-40 wide on the 5d. Too much foreground clutter?

In the the garden of Dover House there is a Spigot Mortar Pedestal, the pit has been filled and planted with shrubs, it sits very close to a flint wall which borders the High Street and Stow Road junction. Beside it is what appears to be a 'blocked-up doorway' in the wall, however, this ‘doorway’ is rather low and is filled with only a single skin wall of flints and it has a wooden lintel. There was also a Pillbox positioned in front of the wall, but has since been demolished.

Just above ground level there is a section of drainage pipe running through the wall, you can just about see the Pintle when from the road side. Tho when viewed from the Dover House garden side it makes a lot more sense. When standing in the trench around the thimble, crew members would have been able to use the pipe as a spyhole and see the enemy approaching down the High Street. The ‘doorway’ could then be smashed out with a sledgehammer and the mortar fired through the resulting gap.
