She has smiles as well as popsicles. I recommended that she pedals on down to Maker Faire this upcoming weekend.
We had an ice storm blow through yesterday, and while most of the ice has melted at work, this is what it looked like at the house this morning. The sidewalk and driveway were a solid sheet of ice, and the trees and bushes are still coated in ice. So, I started the car and while it was warming up, I walked around the yard and took a few photos of the ice. This one is my favorite.

Here is a clever idea someone had...after your child draws a face and names him, cut it out and mount it to a popcycle stick! Then you get a shoe box, cut a long opening in one of the sides...turn the box on it's side (slit on the bottom) and slide your puppets up through the bottom slit to have a creative home-made puppet show. You can also put something on the bottom of the box for the background.
I salvaged this 1:24th scale 1930 Ford Model-A from a box of "junk models" I bought at the local flee market. since it was missing a front bumper and it's a depression era car I decided to cut down a wooden stick from an ice cream bar for the front bumper. I also made the "metal" bolts from scratch. They're actually made of plastic. Also, look closely and you'll notice the car's hood ornament is a Snub-nose German machine gun... why? well... why not?
