We think Teek was in the basement when the CD case came crashing down. He's been sucky and sweet ALL day. He's still in the bedroom snoozing on my pillow. Come to think of it, I don't know that he's been back downstairs since the middle of the night. Poor lil' scaredy-pants.
We had a quick heavy snow just as I was leaving for work. I had 10 minutes to take pictures. Rushing is not conducive to good pictures! The snow was not great either. It was constantly changing from huge clumps to little pellets. Even though the quality is not great I am still amazed by the detail and beauty of a single flake of snow.
I noticed this sign at the hospital. Not only does it look like they neglected to leave enough room for the 'y' to be positioned correctly, the bottoms of the letters aren't lined up even. There may be a valid reason for this, but I have no idea what it would be.
The sign below is right around the corner from this one and the letters are positioned very neatly!
This member of the breed had met its end a long time ago in a scrap yard in Balby Doncaster which is a regular haunt for me and my uncle to find parts for our classic Fords
In the south Tel Aviv, this Israëli man is living in a barak. Because the bad economical situation he is forced to live like this. He claims to have a piece of ground, he's selling to the government, and they will give him an apartment instead. He's waiting quite some time for it now. Some days he's able to work, a lot of days not. For him this situation is not about safety, but about surviving his economical situation.
These are the apartments the government is building for the people.
The number four is regarded as an unlucky number by many Chinese since its pronunciation (shĭ) is similar to that for the word "death" (shì). In contrast, Chinese People regard the number eight as a very lucky number. This creates a market where high prices are paid for telephone or license plate numbers featuring the number eight and avoiding the number four.
The guy owning this powered bicycle must have been either very poor or missing the proper personal connections in order to avoid this very undesirable bicycle license plate.

Vicky the poor old Vectra died suddenly, and the only apparent cause was a broken-off pin on the red plug of the Engine Control Unit. The garage wanted £loads for a replacement ECU. A little work on eBay found a dead ECU with a broken pin on the white plug, so the donor of an intact red plug for a transplant operation was identified. Several boring hours de-soldering the two 32-pin plugs, five minutes re-soldering - and the old car lives!
I was out for a walk in my neighborhood this afternoon, and I walked past this house that had a bunch of discarded household items for the garbage trucks to pick up.
I don't know what drew me to the basket that held this poor Spongebob plushie...it must have been intuition. Anyway, I pulled him out and brought him home with me...he was filthy and nearly soaking wet.
I checked his hang tag (which was still attached) and found out his real name is "Spongebob Tuxedopants," lol. This is him pre - bath.
playing 'wuckie duckie', a youth group game hannah (matt c's wife) found online. one person is blindfolded and holds the 'duckie'. that person goes around the group and stops in front of someone who has to say 'wuckie duckie' in a funny voice, trying to disguise their voice. the person in the middle has to guess who it is. matt d didn't really know anyone, and no one really knew matt d, but guessing 'matt' got the kids both matts, who sounded similar (given that they were the only guys older than 16 there).
Poor Jamacia, she's spent so much time studying that she's started eating her pens and writing with goldfish crackers.
Someone needs to tell that girl to relax.
I came in this morning and found her like that. She'd probably been like that for a few (or maybe several) minutes. She doesn't ever cry or make a lot of noise. Her claw was stuck in the curtain. This is the arrangement we use when the other is still sleeping. It's what I used when I woke up early today.
Poor Angel. I love her so much. Good thing about Jeep is she forgets quickly.
A sad sight, beautiful old home going through phases of demolition (now fully complete). I passed this hose so much on Dominion Road Extension, admiring its large front window an extremely tidy appearance. This happening all over the city, in many cases to very nice existing homes making way for ugly new ones :(
