I chose this for the colors and detail in the building and fence. Zoom in and enjoy. Using just the LCD screen to try focusing on the pool or fence using the AF, I just don't know which it latched onto, but I'm thinking the fence. Still, it's all pretty sharp, and this is only F/5.6!

Finally hiked to the dwindling pool in dry Tanque Verde Creek, two miles from home. (Extreme drought here in Arizona.) It smelled like sulfur.

Went to visit some friends in Anderson and got the itch. Luckily I had my camera and they were down with stumbling around their freezing pool in the pitch dark.
We bought an eighteen-foot aboveground pool at Costco today. We're going to surprise his brother when he comes home from camp.
First, we had to fill in the holes that the dogs have dug in the lawn over the years. I ran it by the landlord, and he's fine with me killing the lawn in the middle of the yard; after all, when I moved in, the whole thing was two-feet high and dead.
Flanking the South Lawn at the University of Melbourne, the reflecting pool is just 200mm deep due to weight restrictions (it is directly over the Southern car park). The car park and the South Lawn space form an integrated design: the concrete pillars which support the ceiling of the underground car park are hollow, accommodating the root systems of the trees in this picture.
