Some people from work played pool tonight. I'm not very good but not terrible.
This is Ingólfur shooting behind his back, he hit it well and buried the ball in the corner.
I was using the Sigma 30mm 1.4 at f/1.8, should perhaps have used a smaller aperture for more dof, but I like this version with the focus on the ball.
White balance was difficult since the light above the tables was different from the main light in the room. I used the main light, the tables are actually a bit more green.

Hamilton Pool is a little known area in the TX Hill Country, where one can experience some truly spectacular landscapes. Swimming is allowed here in the summer and I imagine it would be an oasis-like experience.
you can barely see the Nike logo outside the window in large size. such a beautiful pool and no one using it.
Another shot from the pool where my daughter works. (Did I mention she's a security guard? Yeah, don't be trying to sneak into the pool without your pool pass -- she's onto you!)
This one is on the edge of the Causeway and Mulambin Beach. A few short weeks ago the kids were swimming in this pool. Those shots are in Gaab22's photostream.

I can't say this is anywhere close to an original idea, but I still think it is cool and you'll notice in the exif data that it was taken with a point and shoot!
I was pretty lazy with the editing and certainly didn't get enough of a sky border to set this up for great results, but I love the top half!
The indoor pool is located under the tennis courts. According to our guide not many of Hearst' guests used this pool because they needed to walk down and around the tennis courts in order to get to the entrance. It was used more by the employees.

Ross Craig (1926-2012) was a local historian born in Stockton and dedicated much of his life promoting and conserving the history of Stockton, NSW. He possessed a wealth of knowledge about the suburb and was a founding member of the Stockton Historical Society and co-editor of its magazine. Pat Craig supported her husbandâs passion for history, and together they made a great contribution to the Stockton and Newcastle communities.
