Lee Gratwick’s restoration of the old Linwood pool. Early spring and forty-four degrees when this was taken yesterday, but there was plenty of evidence of grooming in preparation for this year’s tree peony festival in LInwood, NY.

Some people from work played pool tonight. I'm not very good but not terrible.
This is Ingólfur shooting behind his back, he hit it well and buried the ball in the corner.
I was using the Sigma 30mm 1.4 at f/1.8, should perhaps have used a smaller aperture for more dof, but I like this version with the focus on the ball.
White balance was difficult since the light above the tables was different from the main light in the room. I used the main light, the tables are actually a bit more green.

So, a Flickr friend, Mike Hedge, happened to be in town for SXSW, and we happened to be going to Hamilton Pool for some hiking and swimming, so we all went together and had a lovely time. yay!
