This is a Kingsway postcard published by W.H. Smith & sons and dates from about 1905. The view is looking east and downstream from London Bridge and the Belle steamer "Southwold Belle" is leaving its berth at Fresh Wharf which is just out of sight to the left in front of Adelaide Buildings. She was used primarily on the Great Yarmouth route, she certainly appears to be packed with passengers. In 1913 she was sold to an operator in Cherbourg and at the outbreak of the first world war she was commandeered by the French Navy and used in the Mediterranean as a troop and supply ship. After the war she was sold to an operator in Genoa where she was broken up in 1925.

Aspen Gay Ski Week Pool Party 2014

The infinity pool at the Desert Islands Resort on Sir Bani Yas Island is one of those pools where you could spend an entire afternoon without getting bored. The pool was just the right temperature and sitting close to the edge watching the sunset and the sea in the distance was a perfect way to end the day. I just had to come out for a few minutes and capture the moment…

Took [http://www.flickr.com/photos/46403373@N03/] to the "pool" to cool off during our walk this morning. Beautiful day for her to splash around a bit.

Even a cool, sophisticated eleven year old can lose herself when she gets in to the water. A bit too chilly for me, but the kids coldn't care less how cold it is.

Nice to have a friend in the water to keep an eye on the kids.

• 200 meters in the sky

• Landscaped gardens are home to 250 trees and 650 plants

• 12,400 square meters of space big enough to fit three football fields

• Exclusive restaurants including The Sky on 57, helmed by Singapore’s celebrity chef Justin Quek

• A spectacular public observation deck that can host hundreds of people

A day at the pool would not be complete with out a little rough housing between brothers.
