The first of a few photos taken at Tarlair tidal swimming pool in Macduff, Aberdeenshire. A great location for a pool, it has been closed for many years and is in bit of a state. But a £300,000 programme of essential improvements to the complex has been agreed by councilors according to a BBC report.
I ended up having a lot less time here than I'd planned for due to getting carried away at another location earlier in the day, the tide was far lower than I had hoped for but it still worked out for a few shots. A stunning spot for long exposure work like most of the Scottish coastline. Very much a place I'd like to return to at high tide as so many more compositions would work much better then.
