This is the Dona Beja Pool, found at the start of the Levada do Alecrim. This was a hand held shot, do please with outcome at 1/6 sec.

Bena and I being silly in the pool. We had a blast in the pool for like three hours, I think the sun was getting to us.....lol

Bromborough Pool was developed from 1853–58 as a "model village" for the workers at the factory of Price's Patent Candle Company. The completed village comprised 142 houses with a church, school, institute, shop and library for Price's workforce. It predates the nearby model village of Port Sunlight just to its north, started in the 1880s.

The village hall was designed by Julian Hall, and was originally a school. It is in yellow brick with dressings in red brick and stone, and with a corrugated iron roof.

The library hosted a swim party for all kids 6-18 who had read over 30 books in the Texas Reading Club. There was fun in the Friendswood pool, plus grilled hot dogs by the Boy Scouts and popsicles for everyone!

This image was (quite obviously) manipulated in Photoshop. "Pool Shark" originated as a photo of a very small plastic shark (see comments below) that I distorted in Photoshop and layered with another (macro) photograph of refracted pool water.

Abstracting at Black Sand Basin. A slice of Emerald Pool with its deep rich colors. My older brother said he's getting a little tired of the abstracts, but he is not in charge here. Sorry Bro ... you'll have to put up with a few more of these because I like them. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA, July 2017

Groby Pool, Leicestershire, UK

I believe this is a Pool Frog, they were native to the UK but presumed extinct in the wild in the mid 90's. After being reintroduced in 2005 into a number of sites populations have now established themselves in various locations. They like to bask in the sunshine and when disturbed jump into the water with a plop.

The Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye in Scotland have a wonderful turquoise hue, the remnants of glaciers long gone. They exist on many levels of the rock face and although the more popular shots are taken from above, I enjoyed trying to find a different angle.

This Mallard Duck and his girlfriend think our yard and pool are perfect, food at the bird feeder and a big bird bath. Hmmm. Would be fine if they did not use the pool and spa as their potty

She suggested a pose that she'd seen on another stream and said we'd look good together in it....I cannot possibly argue that one bit. Looks amazing and a wonderful shoot with Kat and enjoying every moment of it.

How are you getting along in this hot weather ?

Please take care of yourself.

Office building capture of "Bestseller A/S" clothing company in Denmark, Aarhus.

I was out for a wander in Soho yesterday and came across a small park that included a swimming pool (not terribly unusual here in NYC). Given that its winter and too cold to swim, the pool was drained and closed and had collected a fair number of leaves. The abandoned ladders and stainless siding seemed interesting to me, so I grabbed a few photos through the fence as best I could. These were the shots that stood out for me from the rest of the series.

It may look prehistoric, this 65m - diameter hot spring pool is in fact very "young", only 900 years. 50 000m3 of boiling water are bubbling in a 62m deep hole...

. . . This gorgeous hot spring pool is just a few hundred yards from Old Faithful. I would normally use a picture of it in my "Sterilization" lecture to show how different bacteria are adapted to living in different temperatures of hot water. These bacteria can then be used to prove sterilization has occurred on hospital equipment.

The National Park Service has moved the road away from this pool, as too many people were throwing coins and junk into the pool and interfering with the flow of hot water, and threatening it with a change in the color of bacteria that could live here and give it it's famous blue color.
