Figured I should upload this before it's gets to be too many months after Winterlude 2015.
Polygonal shapes cover the dried out surface of the "Racetrack Playa" in Death Valley National Park.

First Bradford got 6 of these Volvo B7 RLEs from Greater Manchester during 2024, all started life elsewhere though, most in South West England. They have carried many liveries since they were new 15 years ago. This example was one of the first in the latest new livery and as such carries this early variation at the front. Despite the age they must be half decent buses, out most days even Sundays as shown here. 69447 climbs towards the terminus at Upper Eldwick above Bingley. This section of road is usually a dark tunnel of leaves and trees but a cloudy day in Winter makes a shot possible.
There are light-toned rocks in the Syrtis region and they may contain clays or other hydrated minerals.

Turbines Tessellation Star
I designed this star more than a year ago, and never posted a picture of it because I planned on fully tessellating it. I was still thinking on tessellating it not long ago, and refolded a single molecule out of better paper than the original.

Folded out of an uncut 8" hexagon of Zanders' Elephant Hide paper.
One of my new year resolution for myself that I started a little bit earlier is just to take my 3D work a lot more seriously than I have before, this means doing a lot more work outside of SL for visual effects.
So pardon the random art posting which isn’t exactly SL related. Flickr is pretty much my art dumping ground so… eh… sowwie~

I really wanted to share this Hair process because I wanted to give a shout out to an INCREDIBLE artist by the name of Danny Mac, who creates tutorials and also zbrush time lapses - if you’re interested in Zbrush or Character Design, his work is honestly one that you should follow :> The hair was created entirely from watching his Hair tutorial, so i’m super grateful!

The rhombicosidodecahedron is an Archimedean solid (geometry) and one of thirteen convex isogonal nonprismatic solids constructed of two or more types of regular polygon faces. It has 20 regular triangular faces, 30 square faces, 12 regular pentagonal faces, 60 vertices, and 120 edges.
Welbeck Street car park is located in Marylebone, in London, United Kingdom.
The car park, designed by Michael Blampied and Partners, was completed in 1970 for the use of the nearby Debenhams store using a design of tessellated concrete polygons. After being sold in 2016, it is under threat of demolition as Historic England decided not to register it as a listed building.
The Lena delta is one of the largest still pristine river deltas in the world. Its many naturally meandering arms form a magnificent tree-like shape. And ice wedges in the fine sediments of the treeless tundra form regular polygons with small ponds. The whole of the Lena Delta area has been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On August 12, 1996, the Russian Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) significantly expanded the Lena Delta state nature reserve. At 14,330 square kilometres, the Lena Delta reserve ("Zapovednik") was already one of the largest and most important nature reserves in the Arctic. With its new size of 61,320 square kilometres, the expanded Lena Delta Reserve is now the largest protected area in Russia and one of the largest on earth. It is, however, only a small part of Sakha’s “Gift to the Earth”. Sakha, a republic approximately the size of Western Europe, decided in 1994 to designate at least 20% of its territory as a nature reserve.

Got the lighting *just* right on Storm Island and came across some polygons! 1300 photos later and I still manage to find some thing new :)
A quick render after some messing about in MAXON's Cinema 4D with Sub Polygon Displacement. I decided to dive into this extremely fun, but complex program this week for an hour or so...
