Yes, I know a polygon has all straight sides, but I couldn’t think of a song called ‘Rounded Rectangle Window’!
The very detailed ‘shipment note’ is for IEP-ECML-KA-26-003, weighing in at 50 200 kg, and dimensions 2600 cm by 274 cm by 385 cm. Oh, and made in Japan!
‘Kasado Works 26th Shipment’ waits at York whilst 91121 passes by working the 17:00 Edinburgh to King’s Cross on the evening of 4th July 2018.
Basalt lava pavement covered in moss at a cliff face overlooking Brandywine Creek, BC, Canada. The mosses, lichen and fungi form mounds on top of he lava mimicking the polygonal basalt columns below. The basalt is leaning over precariously at the edge and will fall soon forming a talus slope below.. the main mechanisms for erosion are freeze thaw and biological weathering

Wasn't sure what to call them when a group of isosceles triangles got together? Shoal wasn't quite right, neither was a flock. So zoo it is. You never know, there may be some more endangered polygons lurking out there ....

This is one of the absolute highlights of the trip for me. I was just coming back from a short walk on one of the forest trails when I spotted this beauty on the track. Initially I thought it was a moth. Arjan was close behind me and I called him over. Sadly no one else on the trip saw it (they appear to be uncommon). Even though I am not thrilled with the setting (bird dropping) I am delighted to have the photo
