The Eco Thrift shop, on E Street in San Bernardino, California. I was looking for pictures to take with my Polaroid Land camera and I happened to come across this. I've been in here a couple of times, but never bought anything. Sometimes you can find interesting things in thrift shops (like antique cameras!) but this place seems to mostly have clothes and junk.
I actually took this back in July, 2010. But I just got a new scanner and I'm scanning and uploading pictures that I didn't have a chance to post before.
I took this with Fuji FP-100C instant film, and I'm pretty sure I used either my Polaroid Automatic 100 or 440 camera.

I think this is the third photo I have of this camera in my photostream.... I just love it, I guess.

It's like the north pole momentarily moved to Denmark. So freezing cold. Happily, it's real pretty too.

Painting prep work has begun on the old yellow school in my 'hood.
Wonder what color it will be painted, and what the building will become.
I think the new owners are trying to convert it into a bed & breakfast.

comprata "nuova nuova" al mercatino di saluzzo...possibile che tutti i bancarellisti abbiano 1000 storie inconcludenti da raccontare?
dieci euro e mezz'ora di storiella... :-)
"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst." HCB quote. This is a failed double exposure. It's my fault. I forgot to re-set the light dial on the Polaroid Land Camera. the two squares in the middle of the picture are actually from my window. The rest is the street where I live. Anyway, make art out of trash, hence the quote. Seem apropos. LOL!

Having a beer outdoors always tastes best. On our hike we brought along a couple of cans of Lumberyard IPA and enjoyed them in a sunny, sandy wash.
from a new series, finding horizons | I am posting all 22 images in chronological order and several may be reposts as this is a work in progress.
(Saturday, 7 August 2010) The canoe trailer was the subject of my first use of The Impossible Project’s PX-70 film. Love the subdued colors this film produces.
Jugando con Photoshop y una foto de mi Polaroid.
Playing with Photoshop and a pìcture of my Polaroid.
Instant gratification. The beauty of something tangible. Emulsion, paper and light.
I grew up with Polaroids but only recently developed my own love affair with them. Years of digital photography has me craving film and nothing scratches that itch better than an afternoon with one of my Polaroids. Living in a world that doesn't have the patience for instant photos seems insane to me....imagine living in world where nobody listened to records anymore? There is a richness and texture and a reason why Polaroid should be saved...it's too sad to think of the alternative.

(Thursday, 6 May 2010) The façade of the old Binghamton Greyhound station was saved when the building was demolished to make room for a new intermodal transportation hub. It’s being incorporated into the new building. Can’t wait to get some more photos of this classic Art Deco gem.
