I was not happy with the Polaroid camera I modded recently, max f/11 at 100th I struggled unless it was a bright day! So... the upgrade
Now with Zeiss Novar Anastigmat 105mm f/3.5 with speeds B - 400th It has a focusing front element, but to make use of the Zeiss rangefinder on the Polaroid I have used ground glass and made notes where the lens is at its most sharpest from close up to infinity!
So now fully manual and I know where the element needs to be to shoot wide open at f3.5 focusing with the rangefinder.
Just need to get some film and shoot!

Third day of the London Olympics
With Olympic fever running wild, I took it upon myself to finally shoot an Olympics related photo. Tennis took place today, so I figured it'd be the perfect time to shoot my own shot relating to tennis, with my own twist of course. Instead of photographing a modern day tennis racket, I used a vintage racket from the late 60s/early 70s as a prop.

I hit the point where I figured out I don't think I can ever stop documenting what goes on in our garden and the results it produces. With the last frost hitting last week we had to cover our tomato plants with buckets to insure their longevity. With this, I realized documentation of gardening will be a life long project.

Ok, so I've got a lot to learn about Polaroids, but it's one of my first worth posting and well, it's a start.... :)

On the twenty-third we pulled up all two and a half rows of our onions we planted way back in April. It's really the first harvest of our garden but certainly not the last.

I was at the antique store and stumbled across the SYLVANIA Blue Dot Flashcubes promotional pillow you see above.... It is in great condition for being made in 1940 by a Pop Art company as it still had the original tag attached.

I have a small collection of vintage cameras, and this polaroid is my favourite and on display in our living room.
Polaroid Land Experimental model 002
I was wondering if any camera buffs could provide the history behind one of my Polaroid cameras. It appears very similar to a model 104 but has a dark grey face and is labeled "Polaroid Land Experimental model 002"
It belonged to my late uncle Kennith Halliday, who was the long time head chemist for Bendix Corp. in New York. It would not be at all surprising if he had known or worked with Edwin Land.
I wrote to Polaroid Corp. and they could find no information on the camera. Sue Gagnon at Polaroid wrote me back. "Wow!!! What a picture. It does look like an early pack film camera. It appears to be a prototype. I have no details about anything with that name. You have a one of a kind. Call me if you need to know how to find out if it works. We could figure that out."
The Land List: An Ongoing Project in Cataloging Polaroid Cameras, www.landlist.org has been helpful and posted my information here: Polaroid pack film camera model 104
With any luck someday soon I will discover the history behind this unique camera.
