A portion of my camera collection. I need to find a nice place where I can display all my cameras together. Nothing too special, but I like them. :)

Impossible Project PX70 Color Protection
One of my favorite days over our summer road trip was our visit to the Kennedy Space Center. We took a tour of the entirety of the Space Center and were able to see the VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building) and Launch Pad 39A pictured above. Launch Pad 39A is the most famous of NASA's launch pads. 39A is where every moon mission launched from. It was amazing to stand so close to such a monumental structure that has affected humankind so much.

Instant Camera walk
Flickrmeetup teamed up with Photobooth SF for a fun photo walk using impossible film and polaroid cameras. My 'pulling' technique needs a lot of work. I need more muscle it seems for a smooth photo. But I am happy for a 'first time'. Great experience and loved having a photo to hold almost immediately.
I took this with fence Friday in mind so Happy {Film} Fence Friday everyone!
Sunday morning, having a coffee, reading the Noise, taking a break from sorting out winter coats in the front room.

There are the things that are out in the open and then there are the things that are hidden, and life has more to do, the real world has more to do with what is hidden, maybe. You think? Saul Leiter

The building that was last known as the Key Largo Hotel & Casino opened in 1978 as the Ambassador Casino. It had many names throughout its life. The Key Largo closed in 2005 and sat abandoned ever since. A four alarm fire happened at the end of March 2013, and the building is scheduled to be demolished this week. Rest In Peace!

I wanted install mechanical shutter on to Land camera. It was bit of trouble getting infinity focus right but after filing plastic plate with sand paper + measuring with calliper constantly, now it focus perfectly. I had problem with close focus. It is slightly out. So I have aligned RF to close focus side. But R/F will not align at infinity. It does not matter because for far you do`nt really need to adjust focus.

(Tuesday, 18 May 2010) I found this Mapleine bottle/box in an antique store the other day. I really can’t understand why this method of making fake maple syrup isn’t more popular…

For whatever reason I have been on a Christmas tree shooting spree this year.
Perhaps a better idea of the wideness of this ad hoc combination. My finger at top-left, part of the built in shade at top-right and the black plastic bag I shoot into along the bottom. It's clumsy and hard to use since I have to hold the adapter in place - hence the finger.

Mom: Wow, look at my hair!
Me: Why do you say that?
Mom: I don't ever remember it being that high! Or maybe it was up, that's why. Maybe I got it done in some country hair salon.
Me: So you thought of Bellmore as country?
Mom: Oh, very much so. I mean, nowadays, I look at it and think we were really so close to the city.
Me: Was it hard to find places in town that had things you needed?
Mom: Yes and no. There was an A&P that was by car less than five minutes away.
Me: It's closed, by the way.
Mom: Then if you needed anything, there was Roosevelt Field fifteen minutes away. And don't forget, when I was in Brooklyn, I needed at least a half-hour to go downtown to the stores. And then the supermarkets in Brooklyn, they had very small parking lots, so in Bellmore it was very easy to get things you wanted. And you could always go into the town of Bellmore, where they had little clothing stores and things like that.

Pola No 61.
The one where (quite by accident) I learned that hand holding the Pola (still with the ND filter on), inside a dark church, can't/shouldn't be done if you want a nice, crisp, representative image. ...makes marvelous ghostly blurs. I also learned, that I have a whole new potential Pola project worth some serious consideration.
