I found this doll in a vintage store in Portland. She sits on my dresser, always looking sad and/or bored. Maybe if I played with her more... ;-)

Coney Island. I think the cold weather was affectling the sx-70 film, the colors seem "thicker" somehow.

Photographed this dried up flower my wife had and used quite a setup.
Shot with my Polaroid Land Camera 101 attached to a Copy Quick frame. The flower was hand held and the light was my Bestlight LED-60 Macro Photography Ring. Used Fuji FP-100C but the camera was set to shoot B&W. I blocked any light from entering the electronic eye and with my LED light set to full had to shoot a two second exposure to get this photograph.

Its funny how Alzheimer’s works. My grandmother can barely remember 95% of her life let alone thirty seconds ago yet her addiction is like second nature.

This vintage Halloween costume was worn by my mother at age seven. She said it was one of the very few store bought costumes she ever had, because her mother always intended to make one herself.

In the Summer, I was lucky enough to be able to go for a Pola Stroll with Lady Vervaine. I was struggling to gain confidence with my newly acquired sx-70, and the whole business of ND filters, pack filters and exposure with that 600 film had rather taken over the initial fun and anticipation I had experienced.
Wandering around the Barbican late at night, watching some serious Holga/Tripod/Bulb action, and absorbing the general enthusiasm of a shared experience gave me just the kick start I needed. Thanks Lady Vervaine! :)
I love to take portraits, in fact I love the whole process of capturing portraits, Getting people to behave naturally is a challenge that can never be mastered totally.Photographing children will teach you that! But when something happens that is right, I always feel the delight of the sitter. - Mark Daniel

Yes, I sold buttons to earn living. But I took pictures to keep on living. Pictures are my life – as necessary as eating or breathing.
