taken with a polaroid 440 land camera, polaroid #192 self timer used. i'm holding a polaroid 330 land camera, which I have used a lot but found it doesn't have the light ability of the 440. still, i enjoy the color and quality of the 330.

(Tuesday, 18 January 2011) So far today it has snowed, rained, sleeted, and a mix of all three at once. Like this little branch, most everything is now coated in ice.

As opposed to buying a bag of carrots at the local grocery, the fresh bunch you can pull from the ground have a sweetness unparalleled by any grocer. They come with their own dirt and have that deep orange associated with a true carrot. For me, it's just apart of living in an area that allows me to grow my own produce, which can be difficult for most of urban America.
(Sunday, 9 May 2010) Surprised my mom with a visit for Mother’s Day. These scissors were sitting on the kitchen counter. She always told me, “don’t run with scissors!” Unfortunately she never said, “don’t use scissors to cut your hair the day before you start first grade.”

The things that brought us where we are.....the old Zenit is what I started my love of photographs on, over 30 years ago.
(Thursday, 1 April 2010) Here’s my first shot using PX 100 Silver Shade First Flush film by The Impossible Project. Having spent the last week reading about this film, I was a bit nervous to press the shutter release button on my SX-70. Fortunately, my preparations paid off: taping the dark slide to the front of the camera seemed to prevent it from becoming overexposed; then to prevent too much pressure on the film while holding it under my arm, I simply stuck it in a cold clip from one of my packfilm cameras.

Still bonkers....
I think this photo is hilarious, AND I shot it without looking through the viewfinder- the camera was hanging around my neck and I was shooting this same scene on Brian's camera, so it's just luck it's in the frame at all =)
We found this perfect untouched dune and being a boy, Brian wanted to slip and slide all over it. I'm on another dune so it's hard to see how tall and smooth this one was. He didn't fall, but he certainly looks about to keel over!
