Same photo but utilising multiple shots at different focal points, and blended as a stacked photo in photoshop. I think it is much better. There is an excellent article in Digital Photography School about focus stacking. All new territory for me.

April 2015).

Low, late near-Spring light bathes the points and frogs at Metra's A2 Tower as distant bilevels at Union Pacific's California Avenue Coach Yard glow.

MadPoints are expiring on June 30th! While Points can be used on in-store merchandise (excluding gacha), we'd like to make an exciting suggestion!

Why not enter the spooky world of Witch Hunter and experience the adrenalin rush of this interactive shooter ride? Take out pesky witches and their nefarious sidekick bats. But don't be trigger happy, not everything in the dark forest is as evil as it seems!

When the tallest building in the financial center points to Venus, the lights reflect off the River Main and the sky turns the purple colors of the blue hour, it can only be described as pure magic.

Part soaring spires, part medieval fortress, the LDS temple out near Wilsonville both inspires and intimidates. Which I guess a temple ought to do. It really is a beautiful building and worth the trip to see. A small group of us including Aaron, Wendi and Owen made the trip about a month and a half ago, my first visit here, though I had passed it while driving on I-5 a number of times. Fortunately/unfortunately the reflecting pool and fountain were drained and off, so no impressive reflections but it did offer up a couple of different vantage points to photograph from that would not have been available with the pool full of water.

These are the terminating points of the corrugations on the side of my office waste paper basket, illuminated with natural window light. The surface on the right side of the corrugations is actually smooth, flat, and shiny; it is a reflection of the window blinds. The largest ridges on the left side are approximately 4-5mm wide.

My alternative shot for this week's Macro Mondays theme of Arrow.

It's a commemorative coin, that depicts a flaming arrow, through all points of the compass.

I was torn between this 'obvious' arrow shot and a more subtle one, which I eventually submitted: www.flickr.com/photos/kev_gregory_general/31060216200/in/...

Wilbur points toward the location of the abandoned fuel truck. It's just around the corner of that distant curve and up another hill climb. Fortunately when this shot was taken we were on our way down. Postholing initial tracks going up is not fun but going back in your tracks is easy in comparison.

These are the two highest points of elevation in the Rocky Mountain Range of North America. Mt Elbert (left) at 14,440" and Mt Massive (right) at 14,433'.

These two mountains are not the tallest from their base, not even close. Many people do not realize how high in elevation Colorado is in general. The lowest point in the state is still 3315' above sea level located east along the Colorado-Kansas State line.

The mountain ranges of Colorado all rise from a high elevation base.

Five Points Fountain is the centerpiece of a small landscaped area in this somewhat funky village section of Columbia. The fountain area is used as a gathering spot by locals for events such as a seasonal concert series and a large St. Patrick's Day celebration. Five Points is known for dining, shopping, and an active night life fueled by students from the nearby University of South Carolina.
