Male Red-winged Blackbird. this is one of over 100 at my feeder I am getting everyday along with the Brown headed Cowbird and Grackle. A sure sign Spring is around the corner.
Common Snapping Turtle walking along the road at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Galloway, NJ.
This Eastern Box Turtle or Land Turtle did make it across the road with my help after a few pics. I always stop to pick up and move in the SAME direction it is going to the other side of the road. Because of being hit by cars and agricultural machinery, they are vulnerable and are declining. Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Galloway, NJ.

Travelling is fascinating for me - especially at the port. There is so much to see and so much to discover: lots of people, impressive technology, highly polished chrome next to filth and oil. I simply love it.
The passenger in the deck below was similarly fascinated, I guess. Like me, he watched very closley what's going on while the ferry was leaving the port. My soul mate so to say. Hi there :)
Have a nice weekend!

#windowwednesday
An "eye to the sky" at an interesting courtyard of an otherwise unobstrusive business building between Potsdamer Platz and Tempodrom. Taken during a photowalk with Flickr friends back in July 2019. Earlier that year, in March, I had already visited this place on another walk with other Flickr friends, where we'd had fun with performing (and capturing) photographers' "neck pain contortion poses" for each other (please see first comment 😉) – which, ironically, resulted in us being expelled from that courtyard, because we were "photographing people". Indeed, we did, but not strangers, only each other. Two girls photographing each other there in fashion model poses with their phones weren't asked to leave. I've already experienced this in a few places that it brings security or other employees into the scene when they see several people with cameras in the same spot. It once even happened at a shopping mall where we had specifically asked the employee at the information desk at the mall's entrance whether it's OK to take photos there, and the answer had been "Yes!" even regarding the – considerate (of course...) – use of tripods. But when we did just that it didn't take long and a security guard showed up and told us that "It's not allowed to take photos!" – when at the same time several people next to us were taking photos with their phones. Contradictions...
Happy Window Wednesday and Happy Hump Day, Everyone!
Due to my health condition, I am unable to hold or stabilize a camera for extended periods of time. Additionally, using a tripod has never been enjoyable for me, as it would cause pain when trying to position it correctly and constantly bending over to check the viewfinder. Consequently, I have chosen to explore digital AI artwork as an alternative. I understand that this may not be everyone's cup of tea, as it diverges from traditional photography. However, I have always granted myself the freedom to exercise artistic license and pursue whatever brings me joy. Currently, digital AI artwork fulfills that purpose, at least for the time being.
There is a light layer of snow here. So this shot is from awhile ago. Fun just the same. Sunshine and beach.

According to legend, many years ago, here lived on high a magnificent mountain fairy-queen, which lured the travelers, and they disappeared forever.
But the amazing panoramas of these places themselves are as charming as fairies ...

Where she discovered a reflection of herself
Sometimes she saw her real face
And sometimes a stranger at her place
Even the greatest stars discover themselves in the looking glass

If you are looking for a plant that blooms dramatic, vibrant flowers then you must consider hibiscus. This flowering plant produces large trumpet-shaped blooms with dramatic protruding stamens and has no fragrance. .This Hibiscus rosa-Sinensis is native to tropical Asia and produces beautiful orange flowers with periodic blooms throughout the year that enliven any landscape.
Although sometimes grown for strictly ornamental purposes, this orange hibiscus is also well known for its culinary and medicinal applications. You can eat the flower straight from the plant, but it is usually used for tea, relishes, jam or salads. Many cultures drink hibiscus tea for its medicinal properties.
Did you all enjoy this orange hibiscus beauty of my garden!!
