There's a tiny button with an arrow on the underbelly side of my mouse. Needing to know why, I've pressed the button several times and it appears to do nothing... If anyone has an idea what it's purpose is I'd love to know... I do sometimes wonder about pointless things.... HMM Everyone!
the farewell doesn't exist:
- if it is pronounced between two beings
who never found each other,
it is not but a worthless word
if is said between two beings who became in one
it turns out to be a pointless word
because in the real world of the spirit
there are just encounters
.. and never, farewells
--------
.. y nunca despedidas

Pointless! Breezy but it wasn't turning, the only thing it was generating was a nuisance in the Landscape which as you can see was stunning.
OK....I finally figured out why it was the same time all night. Gee, you'd think that they would put some instructions on it.
:)

The sign, I assume, is meant to ensure social distancing, trouble is the 100m or so of narrow footpath under the railway bridge is around the corner by the blue railings and you can't see if it's clear until you've gone round the corner and started down the path. DOH!
I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the council meeting.
The classic colored pencils photo... with a twist! hahaha
I prefer other angles and compositions with the pencils but the best way to illustrate the "Pointless" idea was this way. A bit boring I know, but oh well that's it for today.... =D
Similar to this, but more lighting was used for a different effect.
Also similar to this, but on a different bridge and different time of day.
I needed an excuse to play with my strobes at night.
I guess I'm easily amused.

you probably will find pointless this image but I really got fun doing it , the background is a composite of 2 images (duh), one beeing just clouds and the other one being 2 friends of mine seeing a beautiful lady passing by with her mother, i made this picture about 3 years ago so I don't quite remember what spongebob got to do with johnny bravo here.
It's pointless trying to talk with Fynn when he is focused on a task. Linus should really know that in the meantime .... :)
The weather is still grey and rainy here but there is hope that it will get slighty better later this week. I really need better weather for my mood and because I'm seriously running out of photo ops. The cats are bored as they can't go out much. The boys only had about 20 minutes in the garden with me this morning before it started to rain again.

ENG: The castle ruin Eisenberg in Allgäu
The main castle "Eisenberg", first mentioned in a document in 1340, is the ruin of a high medieval hilltop castle on the Isenberch, a 1055 m high foothill of the Tannheimer Mountains, four kilometres north of Pfronten in the district of Ostallgäu in the southwest of Bavaria. Together with Hohenfreyberg Castle, the castle ruins form a group of castles that dominate the landscape and are visible from afar.
Towards the end of the Thirty Years' War, Eisenberg shared the fate of its two neighbouring castles Hohenfreyberg and Falkenstein. In September 1646 the Tyrolean provincial government decided - in view of the threat of the advancing Protestant army - to abandon its three Allgäu outposts. The castles were cleared and set on fire; they were not to fall intact into the hands of the attackers. Since the Protestants changed their marching direction shortly afterwards, however, the sacrifice of the fortifications was completely pointless. Since then, all three castles have been uninhabited ruins.
The ruins remained in the possession of the von Freyberg-Eisenberg zu Eisenberg family until 1952. In this year the last bearer of this old name died. In 1980, the municipality of Eisenberg bought the ruins, only to begin the renovation one year later together with the Association for the Preservation of Eisenberg Castle.
My first venture out into the wilderness didn't go too well.
When we first visited Acharacle the B&B owners told us how lovely the area was, great for dog owners like us with walks down to Castle Tioram, the Singing Sands and Ardtoe.
So when I got to the little parking area for the two mile walk to the Singing Sands there were already five cars there, I assumed early morning walkers already out ahead of me. I didn't pay much attention to the big sign saying "DANGER" and warning of unexploded munitions, after all it seemed to be a popular afternoon walk for the locals and tourists alike.
And so I eagerly set out anticipating the beauty of the pristine white Singing Sands. I quickly saw five red deer and suspect that if I had just sat and looked out over the mud flats I would soon have seen plenty wildlife. it looked perfect for otters. But I carried on along the stone track turning to take this hasty hand held panorama of the view behind me.
Soon the track climbed up into dense pine forest, so dark I imagined eyes watching me. I spotted an aluminium lighting gantry up in the branches, perhaps left over from filming the Eden, Paradise Lost reality TV castaway/ survival show years back. it did air but was discontinued as most of the volunteers gave up trying to survive there.
I came over one brow of the track and saw two dark creatures scamper into the forest. Pine martens or capercaillie? They were too far off to identify. Shortly after I saw a well trodden path down through the forest to my right, towards the sea. From the start it was very wet going. There had been weeks of heavy rain and the ground was sodden so much that I found myself zig zagging from one more solid mass to another to try to keep my feet dry. it would have saved me alot of energy if I had realised that was pointless and just plodded through that lovely looking bright mossy stuff that formed in the wettest parts. I took a tumble at a small slippy wooden bridge and ended up soaked down one side, cursing myself for not being more wary. But it was a struggle to get downhill through that forest and although I could tell it was worn route through the trees I saw no footprint in the mud. It made me wonder which way all those dog walkers went.
Just when I wondered when I might ever get to the beach, I emerged from the pine plantation. Everywhere I saw signs that the heavy rains had washed down out of the forest and pooled in the area of flatter ground ahead of me. The ground was no firmer to left or right and to maintain my line to the path ahead it seemed I had no option but to get wet feet and go straight across. Surveying it I saw that if I put my left foot on that clump on the left and my right on another I would be over the worst if I just kept moving. Gathering myself up I jumped and put my left foot on the first clump and what in my mind would be an inelegant hop skip and a jump just became a Whoosh as I disappeared straight down into the bog up to my waist. I threw myself forward and kept moving, grabbing the next grassy clump and crawling out the other side. That scared me. I imagined you could easily drown in one of these places and just disappear for ever. After that the trail meandered through tall bracken and trees until I found white sand below my feet.
Mighty relieved to be on the beach, I was surprised there wasn't even one person in sight....and not one footprint either. Not human, only deer.
I decided to walk along the beaches, looking for where the main route to the beach emerged. But try as I might I saw no sign. Time and again I set off up through the trees thinking I had seen a route but they all faded away, just deer tracks that vanished amongst the rocks and bracken. I didn't want to go back via the bog, it really had scared me, but I couldnt even find where I had originally come down through the forest. Now well overdue back home....I only went out for a brief explore and hadn't even had my breakfast... I decided to phone the Coastguard in case my wife rang to report me missing. I wasn't lost, I knew exactly where I was, but I just couldn't find a way back.
The sun came out and the dunes around me took on a Saharan look especially where I looked back and saw a lonely set of footprints crisscrossed the sand in a8 desperate search for a way out. In the end I was utterly exhausted and so relieved when I heard a shrill whistle and spotted two yellow jacketed figures emerge from the forest some distance away.
Thankfully the Coastguard were there to rescue me and get me home. But you soon learn out there, you're on your own.

All members of the public are obliged to go through several rounds of pointless PCR testing, thus increasing the chances of cross-infection. "I don't know if the virus was controlled or not, but the public was definitely controlled", some quipped.
...That pointless stroll we've been taking with my brother just after i got off the bus started to become very meaningful to me when i saw this statue of Don Quijote. As a fresh graduate who feels like his whole ideals about life had collapsed, who lost all his hopes about the future and who has just been discouraged and disappointed by women, i found all the inspiration i need in this man on his horse.
He was a lunetic dreamer. Yet he never gave up on his dreams and always stood up against whatever stands in his way. Even though attacking a windmill was seen a pointless act by others, he chose to attack it any way. Because he wasn't interested in the thing or person he challenged; his whole interest was about challenge itself.
Then i took this beautiful silhouette to remind me this every time i look at it:
"Just because your dreams have never become reality, it doesn't mean that there is no point in dreaming. To make your life more endurable,
Struggle against reality; Enjoy your dreams."
