This "Point of View" is all about a magical eye (with red round enamel piece in center)
painted on canvas placed inside a round glass enclosed piece.
Metal accents and red wooden painted letters have been nailed on to complete the statement.
This piece has been constructed on a 3/4" piece of wood with a red wooden frame attached.

The Point Wilson Lighthouse at Port Townsend, Washington.
This lighthouse was built in 1914, and has served as an active aid to mariners ever since. Its lantern room houses a Fourth Order Fresnel lens.

HDR from Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park. I took this around late afternoon to acquire the painting effect. All the fine tuned was done in Aperture.
The successful preservation of Pleasure House Point, an undeveloped natural open space on the Lynnhaven River, was culminated with a ribbon cutting on October 12. Located just west of the Lesner Bridge and south of the Chesapeake Bay, Pleasure House Point Natural Area is 118 acres of water, tidal marsh, sandy shores and maritime forest. The shallow water estuarine environment of the property provides habitat for the iconic Chesapeake Bay blue crab and the Lynnhaven oyster.
This high-profile property was once being considered for a large waterfront development, but with the help of The Trust for Public Land, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the surrounding community, the City of Virginia Beach has preserved one of the largest undeveloped parcels of land on the Lynnhaven River for generations to come.

I should point out that the pier is NOT wet due to massive seas breaking over it - they'd just been hosing it down.
Spectacle Point is on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), just above the Park Lakes area. On this particular hike I came up on the Mineral Creek Trail, and continued onto the PCT. Besides the fantastic scenery at this location I have vivid memories of the horrendous mosquitos. Like an idiot, I had forgotten my Jungle Juice. Lots of bites to scratch the following week :-( Scanned from a 4X5 Ektachrome transparency.

Never was quite sure what the point of queuing this long to recharge your phone was when there's so much else going on.
Murphy Point Road sign on highway 540 on Manitoulin island. Marked the drive to a resort we'd loved as children years before in the 70's.
Hiking toward Needle Point on our trek up to Eagle Lake. It was a beautiful day with amazing scenery.
