One of the hardest climbs in the Gorge and also one of the most beautiful, in my opinion. Nesmith Point spur trail climbs to nearly 4,000 feet and is quite the workout. Especially with lots of camera gear:) I need carbon tripod legs!!!!

This panorama was taken from Washburn Point in Yosemite National Park. The image shows a lot of Yosemite's domes, mountains, and ranges. North Dome, South Dome, Half Dome are clearly seen as is Nevada Fall and Vernal Fall.
I may be incorrect on some of the names, and what is, or is not, seen in the image. But, I tried.
Image details:
The panorama is a HDR image. Each HDR segment of the panorama was compiled from 5 frames (1/15sec. - 1/250sec.), and there are 12 segments that make up the panorama. I used Nik software's HDR Efex to make the HDR's, and then used PTGUI to make the panorama. The image was then adjusted in PSCS5.
Images were taken July 17, 2011 between 6:40:15 and 6:50:21pm.

“A good plan is like a road map: it shows the final destination and usually the best way to get there.”
A strange dawn catches odd light at the Prince Edward Point lighthouse. The first cold day of the year - I was there early for a dawn that did not materialize and as I waited the first flakes of snow fell.
Hiker pausing to take in beauty on Mazama Ridge MRNP, this was one of the coldest days I've had on the mountain and one of the most memorable. I think it was 8 degrees at one point.
On Saturday, June 25, 2011, my son Zack and I left Sacramento late, about 9:00am.with the plan to do some shooting in San Francisco. We got there about 11:00am. The Embarcadero was wall-to-wall people. An international bike race, the Sharkfest swim from Alcatraz to Pier 39, and the Gay Pride weekend made parking tough. This capture was taken toward the end of the day at Fort Point just below the southern end of the Golden Gate Bridge. This capture was taken on the second floor of the three story fort. This is the bay facing side where large cannon prohibited entry to the bay.
